Hi Jim, Sorry about your issue. ArcGIS Online is updated frequently and apps that you have created even long time ago will always have the latest features. The fix button only appears when you have an error in your app so maybe you have an error in your new app but not in your original app? If you open the share dialog, does the dialog look the same in both app? (we changed heavily that dialog at last release). In your browser does the url of both applications looks the same? Your error could be because the app were created over different protocol. Browser behave differently depending on the protocol. See below a URL with HTTP and HTTPS in Chrome. If you notice a difference, changing the protocol of the webpage that you are including in your story may fix your issue. You can do that through the builder.

Sorry about your issues. Kyle diagnosis above is correct, the app won't works if deployed on your server over '/apps/MapTour/'. Just change the name of one of those directory and it should loads.

If you don't have the attributes I mentioned no you won't be able to save them. That option should not be present in your case, sorry about that. I am not sure you can edit field length once the service is created, I think that is defined when the service is created based on the type in ArcMap or Pro. If you use a CSV, you may be limited to 255 characters.

I have been able to access your application, I don't see anything that should prevent it to work. Do you get an error in the application or developer console when you save? (hit F12 in most browser to open it) But how are you dealing with the images? Using custom feature services unfortunately require to understand some internals of the application, see documentation Esri/map-tour-storytelling-template-js · GitHub It looks like you don't have attachments or fields to store the url of the thumbnail and main image. We have a bunch of layer as csv, shp and more on GitHub that you can use to see how it works, see map-tour-storytelling-template-js/samples at master · Esri/map-tour-storytelling-template-js · GitHub

This seems to be a well know issue of Safari that we will need to document, there is a simple workaround that is just to add onmousewheel="" to the iframe tag. So your tag would be <iframe src="http://www.arcgis.com/apps/MapJournal/?appid=d9a6a166ac6e409a9a1ae6cbb4709056" onmousewheel="" frameborder="0" scrolling="no"></iframe> It worked well in all the browser that I tested. Note that this issue seems only to happen with the Floating Panel Layout and not with the Side Panel Layout.

There is no option to directly use a database in StoryMaps. StoryMaps use webmap which as far as I know cannot directly exploit database either, you need to create a layer using ArcGIS Server or upload your data to ArcGIS online. To upload your data ton Online, you could use ArcMap or ArcGIS Pro that I think can directly connect to your Oracle database. Or if you can export as a CSV that's also an option. The following links may help you more: Oracle database requirements for ArcGIS Pro 1.1—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS for Desktop Connect to Oracle from ArcGIS—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop CSV, TXT, and GPX files—ArcGIS Online Help | ArcGIS

Hi, Multiple sequentially can be problematic and interpreted as only one. The easiest would be to use a table tag <table>
<tbody>
<tr>
<td>Row 1 Col1</td>
<td>Row 1 Col2</td>
<td>Row 1 Col3</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>Row 2 Col1</td>
<td>Row 2 Col2</td>
<td>Row 2 Col3</td>
</tr>
</tbody>
</table>

I can access the story just fine. That kind of error, would be related to a web server configuration. Including index.html in the URL, like this may help.

This is doable through a customization that is documented on GitHub. This require that you download and host the application on a web server. It would allow you to easily create that kind of story The World is Full of Circles | Travel | Smithsonian (in that case see the last tab) The documentation is not the most friendly, hope this will help you.

All of the StoryMaps application are downloadable. You can access them from the StoryMaps apps page, choose your app, click Learn more and scroll down the page to it's bottom to get a link to GitHub. You can also find them directly from this GitHub website. The process to deploy an application is documented on the individual GitHub repositories.

Sorry about this, I missed your second post. I can't really reproduce the issue except with what I described earlier. I don't think recreating the story from scratch will change much but would be good to try. If you can't figure it out, the always working solution is to not sync map extent and define the extent on the 3 maps through map viewer and a combination of reproducible steps to make sure they are exactly identical like search for an address, unzoom 2 times and pan using the keyboard arrows a certain number of times.

Cool. The location that you define in builder should be the same in viewer, I will look into that too. In the meantime, there is an option in the settings that may help you. After enabling it, you will want to reconfigure the extent and hopefully after save and reload it will be better.

Sorry about your issue. I may have found what is the problem, could you try the following and let me know: Disable the Synchronize map options Open every entry and set back the Location configuration to map default Enable the Synchronize map option Configure the location for the first entry to the desired location Save and try it out I am thinking the app is not ignoring the values that you set for every entries before you turned on the synchronize option.

Are you using Portal for ArcGIS? In ArcGIS Online it seems to works for me, see this Journal http://www.arcgis.com/apps/MapJournal/?appid=01c40e1ac2924c33a663c8731f80595e that embed this scene http://www.arcgis.com/apps/CEWebViewer/viewer.html?3dWebScene=2e71f229901a401c9a73560975a144e7 If you are on Portal, it must be that the Portal is configured to not allow a scene to be embedded in application. That would be a setting to change at the web server level. I suggest that you contact Esri technical support Esri Support
