I will keep you in touch. Yes it seems to be an edge case due to something specific about your webmap. You have multiple layer in that webmap, maybe if you try to rebuild the webmap adding them one by one you will find a way to make it works.

I am unsure why I can't exactly reproduce the same behavior than you but the JS team communicated me that they are working on a fix, that should be included in the next release in July.

Hi, Sorry about your issue, this will be fixed in ArcGIS Online tonight (it was not StoryMaps specific as pointed out). The configure button will unfortunately not reappear on those items, but you can make it reappear. If you open the application as a regular user when you are signed-in in ArcGIS Online, an Edit button will be displayed in the header. Make one change in the builder and save the application and the configure button will reappear.

Sorry about the issue. This is a regression that has been introduced with last release, we are going to try to fix it later this week in ArcGIS Online. I will keep track of the fix here Impossible to save link in point title/description when using a Feature Service · Issue #35 · Esri/map-tour-storytelling… The issue should be fixed later this week but in the meantime, the workaround is to manually remove those tabindex properties before saving the tour. If your tour does not contains many links this may be an acceptable solution. Otherwise note that if you are not using Feature Service, like if importing pictures from Flickr (or the other options) you won't be affected.

Hi Ferdinand, About images in popup, images will get scaled down to 200px by 150px with respect to your images aspect ratio. This means that if your image is a typical portrait image, very tall, what you see is the expected behavior. Your solution to have a bigger image is to resize your images so that they have the 200x150px aspect ratio (1.3), this will involve cropping some part of your images. This thread may also help you Tips for displaying photos in pop-ups | ArcGIS Blog If this does not fit your need, you would have to customize the popup to change it's behavior by downloading the template (css customization).

Hi, You are right, maps need to be shared at the same level than the application to be usable. The maps that you have found must be a copy and is not actually used in that Journal. The maps used in that Journal are: http://www.arcgis.com/home/webmap/viewer.html?webmap=4e631a09497c41aeb94ae0afd46d477c http://www.arcgis.com/home/webmap/viewer.html?webmap=e904305c4b224955b3060bffbe755770 http://www.arcgis.com/home/webmap/viewer.html?webmap=a59a0210f99847fab743c233aa3ed367 We are working on a feature that will let StoryMaps author opt-in to expose for download the maps and layers used in that application and so make the data easy to found and reuse.

ba487f357cc940b69b414765ab94153e is your web app id, you have to use your webmap 1640bcd752954581b489118dfe9c0bd3 in the sandbox. I was unsure if this was expected or not and if I was missing something but looks like the JS team think something is not normal. I will keep you posted here, hopefully in the next days.

Interesting, looks like we have different behavior. Here is what I see in Firefox 36 console for the sandbox with your webmap at two different browser resolution.

Hi, This seems to be the expected behavior of the ArcGIS for JavaScript API. I'm not able to explain why, I will ask that team. If I create a sample app that just load the map I obverse the same behavior (ArcGIS API for JavaScript Sandbox). Whether I add 1 or 10 entries that use the same webmap in the Map Series I see the same number of request.

Ok thanks. That app build using Map Series is behaving well http://storymaps.esri.com/stories/2015/circles/ I confirm that the app that you download from GitHub is what is in ArcGIS Online.

That app is based on a template that we have deprecated recently: Side Accordion. Are you using our new Map Series with the Side Accordion layout or that template? Story Map Series | Story Maps You should not have that problem with the new Map Series. In the builder if you use the same map across all your entries the map will only be loaded once. Map Series is also preloading maps but it should works better. You can't avoid that preloading by configuration in the builder but this is doable without custom development. Let me know if you are interested.
