Thanks for taking time to make a video. This definitely sounds like a bug, the app should let you know if something is wrong with your CSV. Have you tried to use the example CSV that you can get from the screen where you choose to import the CSV. I just tested on a Macbook with Safari and it seems to works fine.

Hi Cathy, I am not sure why it doesn't load your CSV. I still can't access it. Are you trying to drag and drop it in the builder? Have you started from the CSV example that you can get from the builder? I highly recommend that. I agree that CSV is theoretically faster to build Storing it in ArcGIS Online as an item is not the best way to do it, you should just drag and drop it in the builder...

Hi, Welcome to Story Maps Hope you will like it. I am not sure if iCloud support well to serve picture over HTTP, Dropbox is really good for that. Your CSV item doesn't seems to be public. But that's ok, you don't have to create a CSV item to use a CSV to build your Tour, you can just start the builder from the Story Maps website and drag and drop the csv in the application. The application will help you troubleshoot your CSV. Note that you can also get an example CSV that will save you issue with naming of fields. Also note that to use pictures hosted on any server, you don't have to use a CSV, you can build your tour from the builder by starting from scratch and the builder will prompt you to enter the point one by one. Also note that if you have an ArcGIS Online Organization account you can store your picture in ArcGIS Online. That's the most secured way to keep your pictures really private. Start creating your tour through that page Apps | Story Maps by clicking build your tour. To use a CSV or build your tour point by point, on the first screen select the advanced option (at the right of YouTube).

Hi, I'm not sure, this looks like a problem related to your Portal for ArcGIS configuration and not StoryMaps. I recommend that you contact Esri support Esri Support . You can also try the Portal for ArcGIS forum.

Hi Joe, That app hasn't graduated to one of our supported template yet. We recommend that you use one of our supported app included in ArcGIS Online to tell your story, see the list Apps | Story Maps. If none of those app looks good, we distribute the source code of that tornadoes story on GitHub leebock/tornadoes-dashboard · GitHub. If you can figure out how to use it, let us know, that may encourage us to make it a fully supported app

Yes Map Journal also has a limit set by default to 101 sections (home section + 100 sections). All of our apps have that kind of restrictions, for Map Series it is set to 15. If you want to customize that, see this FAQ for Map Tour, the same pattern can be applied for Journal and Series.

Hi, Map Journal should be included in your Portal at version 10.3. One possibility is that the list of template displayed in the "Configurable apps" has been customized by the Administrator. That settings is available for Administrator: If you are not administrator please check with him and let us know.

Glad to hear. Let's say that you will be accessing the app that you downloaded and configured at www.mydomain.com/myapp/index.html To enter in builder mode, use that URL www.mydomain.com/myapp/index.html?edit (you will be prompted for sign-in)

Yes the this the expected behavior, let me precise how the Map Tour data are saved: Title/description of each point, as well as the marker color are saved as attributes The images are stored as Feature Services with attachments The tour title/description and other information like the header logo and links are saved in the web mapping application The tour point order and visibility are also saved in the web mapping application (ordered array of the features object id) The first two group of information are easily editable through Map Viewer for example. The later two are not editable in any tool except the Map Tour builder. If you look at a map tour web mapping application item in ArcGIS Online Assistant you will be able to see and edit those json configuration. Storing the tour point order in the web mapping application has a lot of advantages for data maintenance but I understand that if you are using the webmap outside of Map Tour for other purpose this is not ideal. If that's what you want to do, I think you will have to use a Desktop tool to physically change the order of the points in the layer.

Yes there is. The hosted application has a limit to 15 bullets but if you can deploy the template to your server, you can change that limit. The procedure is: - download, configure and deploy the template on a web server Esri/map-series-storytelling-template-js · GitHub - change the 15 bullets limit by editing app/config.js > MAX_NB_ENTRIES - use the builder to add your remaining entries Esri/map-series-storytelling-template-js · GitHub - share the link to the Map Series deployed on your own server (the one in ArcGIS Online is still limited to 15 entries) Note that tab and accordion layouts have the same limit and the same procedure can be applied to overcome it.

Not yet, but we are working on that. In Map Tour, Map Journal and Map Series we have made sure that all the content you author is accessible through keyboard navigation and the screen reader read it correctly. Our other apps will follow progressively, and we will continue to work on better compliance as well as provide guideline for the most advanced users to check the conformity. At the end, the work of the author should be limited to providing alternative text for maps, images and video. You can already do that except for all the media that you inline in the section description but not for the Main Stage.

I am not sure what you mean by the static reference map but yes the links I sent you are to include web scenes in the Main Stage. You can also include web scenes in the Side Panel through the text editor inline media features if you want but that's not so common as the space is limited and most of author will only include text and images.

Yes, Map Journal maps are only 2D (same for every StoryMaps and template in ArcGIS Online) but you can integrate virtually any content in Map Journal through another web application. See for example that Journal that include some web scenes http://story.maps.arcgis.com/apps/MapJournal/?appid=4c77a56bbcd743b69232cf3fd9c7a61c and that blog post for the procedure Using 3D web scenes in Story Maps | ArcGIS Blog
