Interesting, no there should be no difference from that point of view between 7 and 8. You can use version 7 for your new story, there is not many difference. We will look into that and post results Issue hosting Map Tour on iPage · Issue #37 · Esri/map-tour-storytelling-template-js · GitHub Thanks

You are welcome. If you choose to go with the hosted, you will not be able to have any customization. That's the limitation. Another option could be that you use another hosting service. My favorite is Dropbox, fast to deploy and works really well.

Hi Janie, No there isn't that kind of limit, the only limit is 15 tabs. It is very good pattern to include MapTour, Journal and even other Series to overcome that limit.

Hi, Sorry about your issue. I have found your tour and webmap and have been able to successfully deploy a tour using your webmap on my server. It looks like there is a problem with the server that is not able to serve properly one of the files required by the application. I will look into why this happen but in the meantime you won't be able to deploy any recent StoryMaps on that server. For Map Tour, an older version may works https://github.com/Esri/map-tour-storytelling-template-js/releases/download/V2.2.2/Storytelling-MapTour-2.2.2.zip but I do not recommend you do that. Instead what I suggest is that you use the Map Tour hosted in ArcGIS Online. You can do an iframe on your website if you want to keep the nice URL. Use that guide http://storymaps.arcgis.com/en/app-list/map-tour/tutorial/ In step 2 instead of using Flickr, click the last option (gear icon) and you will be able to drag and drop your CSV.

Hi, Auto playing is a popular request but not included yet in any Story Maps. You could do it if yourself if needed, we are going to work on that. Out of curiosity, what StoryMaps app are you interested in auto playing? One free option for screen recording is CamStudio - Free Screen Recording Software

Hi, No as I was saying you can't "blend" two layers. The most simple is that you use Map Viewer or Pro to move the point manually. As far as I know Map Viewer don't allow you to place a point by entering coordinates so you would have to do the placement manually, maybe in ArcGIS Pro?

Very good point, we are working on that and will release an app to streamline the maintenance of StoryMaps very soon. Stay tuned! From now In Map Journal and Map Series, from the builder organize dialog, you have the export content that will give you all webmap id. For Map Tour, from the builder share dialog, the last item "Where is the data stored" will redirect you to the web map item.

Hi, Regarding your first question, as you notice the Map Tour is creating a layer in your webmap. If you want to change the location, you can edit that layer from the Map Tour Builder or other product like the Map Viewer or Pro. It is not possible to automatically reuse another the location to update the location of the first layer without any coding, that is probably quite easy to do in Pro. You will have to do it manually. Sorry about your second issue. That should definitely not happen. Is that something that you can reproduce? If you remove that new layer does it also happen? What I would recommend as a workaround is that you do those updates through the Map Viewer in ArcGIS Online.

Hi, It is not possible in the standard application but you could do that with custom development. We have no plan so far to implement that in the application. If that's an option for you, there is everything you need on GitHub Esri/map-series-storytelling-template-js · GitHub to know how to advance to the next bullet or tab. The user interface would be on you.

Hi, Sorry about that, Map Tour builder seems to try to use one of the layer in your webmap as a source for the tour points. Is this what you are trying to do? If not, please just change the visibility of all your webmap layers so they are not visible before you start the builder. After you will have saved your tour a first time, you will be able to turn back visible your layer.

Hi, Glad you found this workaround. When you select a CSV in Map Tour builder, it will just add it to the web map as a new layer for you. Why doing that in Map Tour builder, because it should let you know if there is any issue with your CSV. We are going to look into this more. I am sure I tested both drag and drop and using the add data from file dialog and it worked on my mac, but I must be wrong. Let us know if you have any issue to finish building your tour.

Sorry about your issue and thanks for taking the time to report it. This is a technical limitation that we are not going to be able to fix soon. I have kept track of the issue on GitHub Issue in Internet Explorer when including a PDF a an entry media, the image cannot be maximized over the PDF · Issue #6 … and included a possible workaround: using Google Drive PDF preview.
