Can you share your service publicly so we can try to reproduce the error? Thanks Mike

You can invite people who have the same type of account you have. If you have an organizational account, you can invite other organizational accounts to join your group. If you have a public account, you can invite other public accounts to your group. Thanks, Mike

The problem appears to be on your side. Perhaps your web server is set up to block programmatic access to the server? ArcGIS Online sends this request to your server to gather information. http://www.arcgis.com/sharing/checkUrl.jsp?url=http%3A//app.mdt.mt.gov/arcgis/rest/services/RIM/MDT_BOUNDARIES_931/MapServer%3Ff%3Djson&f=json The response from the server is: {"secured": true,"httpStatusCode": 403,"httpStatusMessage": "HTTP/1.1 403 Forbidden","httpResponse": "","url": "http://app.mdt.mt.gov/arcgis/rest/services/RIM/MDT_BOUNDARIES_931/MapServer?f=json"} When the URL to the service is entered directly in the web browser, it works fine. http://app.mdt.mt.gov/arcgis/rest/services/RIM/MDT_BOUNDARIES_931/MapServer Thanks, Mike

To publish from ArcMap, verify that you have version 10.1 or greater. From the File menu, you should be able to sign in to ArcGIS Online. Then, you can open your MXD and publish it from the File menu>Share as. You publish to "My Hosted Services". So on the item details page of the feature service, the edit button is grayed out? When you publish a service, it may take a few minutes to start the actual service, as the features have to be loaded in. How many features do you have? Perhaps you can share the feature service item publicly and post the URL here. Thanks, Mike

Jill, Have you purchased a subscription to ArcGIS Online? You need one to publish a hosted feature service. Or, if you have ArcGIS Server, you can publish to your server. Thanks, Mike

Jill, Are you hosting your feature service on ArcGIS Online or on your own ArcGIS Server? If ArcGIS Online, how did you publish it to online? What was the source of the data, e.g., shapefiles? Basically, if you're publishing from ArcGIS Desktop, and your data has domains defined, these will come through when editing attributes. If you published a shapefile, there are no domains, so we will only populate a dropdown when editing for the field you symbolized. Thus, it would not be possible to display a single symbol and have the editing dropdown. If your feature service is hosted, go to the item details page of the service, and click Edit. There is an option that allows you to control what kinds of edits can be made. One of the choices is that only attributes can be edited. Thanks, Mike

I'm not sure what's happening. It works for me in Firefox. What version are you running? Is it the latest? Can you try downloading the shapefile you uploaded here and use it? Thanks, Mike

I can reproduce the problem. We'll need to look at it. Note, you can add this directly to a web map from the Add menu option when viewing the map. Thanks, Mike

Gus, It works for me. I'm adding it directly to the web map. I'm not sure why it's not working for you. What web browser are you using? Do you have a subscription to ArcGIS Online? Thanks, Mike

No not from a .mdb...If you have a CSV with lat/long or full addresses, you could add that as a layer to the map. Or, with a subscription to ArcGIS Online, you could map an Excel spreadsheet with zip codes. Here's a video that shows it. http://videoembed.esri.com/iframe/1596/000000/width/960/0/00:00:00 Click the link below for more information on Esri Maps for Office http://www.esri.com/software/arcgis/arcgisonline/apps/esri-maps-for-office Thanks, Mike

There is nothing out-of-the-box. Now, if you have your own dataset that represents the grid, you could add it as a layer to the map. I did a quick search of arcgis online and it seems some people have shared a lat/long grid. Thanks, Mike

You can upload shapefiles (up to 1000 features maximum) directly into a web map and view the map in the mobile app. Or if you need more than 1000 features, publish a layer (via a subscription) to create a feature service. thanks Mike
