Hi Heath, Last night's update was a system update. The streets basemap update is scheduled for Q1 2014. I have been told that the ferry routes have been removed. Samantha, What is the printing error are you referring to? Thanks, Mike

Can you share a web map publicly that illustrates your problem? Are you talking about layer ordering? Thanks, Mike

Unfortunately, map packages can't be displayed in web mapping applications. Only web maps can be used in the storytelling app. Thanks, Mike

Better to post here. The other forum is a beta forum. However, I answered it there... http://forums.arcgis.com/threads/97295-using-map-service-legend-in-a-webmap thanks, Mike

I'm seeing a certificate error. Your service is https, but the certificate has expired. See attached image. https://203.177.0.139/ArcGIS/rest/services/Leng/2013_Road_Data_elf/MapServer

Updated November 7, 2017 The way to do this is to create a hosted feature layer view. Learn more about hosted feature layer views here...Create hosted feature layer views—ArcGIS Online Help | ArcGIS ------------------------- Original post There are several options: You can disable editing on the layer inside the web map. This will remove the Edit menu. However, a savvy user could enable it in the web map and still edit it. You can embed the map in a web page or create a web mapping application. The user won't be able to enable editing here, but if the features are still public, they can be edited. Disable editing on the feature layer itself. This will prevent editing at all. When you want to update the data, unshare it and enable editing. This means while updating, the map will not be available. Administrators have the ability to open a feature layer with full editing capabilities. This could be a way to update the features while still keeping the layer publicly available. However, your editors would then need to have the role of administrator. Published a tiled layer from the feature layer. The tiled layer would need to be updated whenever the features are updated. This can get costly and time consuming to recreate tiles. Hope this helps, Mike

You'll only see the dropdown on fields with a domain set. Currently you can't set domains on hosted feature services or data loaded directly into the map. Only ArcGIS Server services. Thanks, Mike

Am I correct in assuming that in ArcMap, you are Creating a local copy for editing? Feature services, by definition, return the geometry of features to the client application for drawing. Disabling the export option will not prevent this. A savvy person can still get all the geometry of your data. The Disable Export option only removes the download links from the user interface. If data security is an issue, you probably shouldn't be using a feature service. In ArcGIS Online, your only other option is to create a tiled map service. You can create this directly from your features. However, tiled services have their pros and cons as well. If you have ArcGIS Server, you can publish a dynamic map service. The current workflow for editing hosted feature services in ArcMap is to create a local copy. Thus, it's not possible to prevent export and still allow editing. We opted on the side of allowing editing, rather than preventing export for the reason above. Specifically that the disable export option doesn't secure your data. We will look at this again. Maybe there is some other solution here. Hope this helps, Mike

Those with a Home Use license will get a subscription. However, it won't be until the end of the year that we will have the ability to do so for home use. We need to make some changes in order to enable it. That's probably why there's a bit of a disconnect between development and sales... Sorry for any confusion. Thanks, Mike

The popup definition applies to all features in that layer. There is no way to customize individual popups for specific features. You could have an attribute field as part of your data, where the field contains a URL, which could link to another pages and display on a new tab of the browser. That's about all I can think of. Thanks, Mike

This is a bug. ArcGIS.com was not reading the other supported coordinate systems. I have verified that this works correctly on our development servers as the layer does overlay. We will be releasing a fix in December. I did notice, however, that the WMTS service appears to return all white images for me, using the TOPO layer. I don't know why... Thanks, Mike

What version of ArcGIS Server are you running? While I can access the link you provide, none of the links from that page work, which means to me that you've only exposed the one page publicly. If you are running an older version of ArcGIS Server, having the server behind a firewall can be problematic. For example, I can't access the ExportMap link on the page. Since you have a tiled map service with a coordinate system that doesn't match, arcgis.com will make an ExportMap call, instead of accessing the tiles. Mike
