ArcGIS Online supports a number of layer types. You can find documentation about supported layers here: http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/arcgisonline/index.html#/Add_layers/010q0000009v000000/ As far as I know, you can't really create your own layer type and display it in a web map. It has to be one of the supported types. Now, there's a wide variety of types, that hopefully you can get your data into. With a public account (free) you're limited to about 1000 features you can add. More than that, you will probably need to get a subscription, where you can make a web service of features. This is basically unlimited in storage of features, but clients will still have limits on what they can display at one time. Alexvalunet, We have found this public map authored by you: http://www.arcgis.com/home/webmap/viewer.html?webmap=ee0c9a1406474ca98cb82ec3de2f2530 where it can't be saved. It turns out there is a problem with the layer, one of the features in it has a null geometry. We can make a fix to work around the problem, but the real problem is how did the layer end up this way. How did you add this layer to the map? Did you upload a shapefile? There may be an error in the shapefile. Did you subsequently edit the layer in the web map? If you have the original data to share, we can take a look. Also, we can fix this web map and remove the bad feature (you can't see it anyway). Let us know. Thanks Mike

Jerry, You aggressively cleared your cache? In Chrome, it's "since the beginning of time", deleted all saved content, etc? So you can't see any of your content or groups? Is everyone in your organization having this problem or just you? Do you recall when you were last able to access your content? Have you made any changes that could have affected your access? Alison, I think you are one level too low. When you navigate to the rest endpoint of the service, remove the index number from the end of the URL, for example, remove the /0 or /1. Mike

I'm updating this answer based on the current version. You can export to a file geodatabase that will contain the attachments. Navigate to the item page of your hosted feature layer. Find the layer you want to export features and click the small arrow next to the name to reveal a context menu, and export the data to a file geodatabase. You can then download a ZIP file of the geodatabase, that will contain the attachments --------------- Original Reply Export of attachments is supported through the API only at this time. It was not included in the update this week. You can navigate to the REST endpoint of your service, like this: http://services.arcgis.com/xxxx/arcgis/rest/services/states/FeatureServer Click Create Replica Specify the Layers by index number e.g., 0,1,2 (this service above has 5 layers) Set the boolean values to true. Sync Model = none Data Format = FileGDB Click Create Replica. This will start a process that will yield a zip file you can download. Thanks, Mike

Do you have a full subscription or a trial subscription? There are some database size limits that you may be encountering if you have a trial. A full subscription should handle this, but even here, you are nearing the limits. What is the error message you see? What is your subscription ID? You can find it on the My Organization page. Also, most client applications won't be able to display 30 million features at once. You would need to correctly set scale dependencies. Janet, Did you publish from ArcGIS for Desktop and enable feature access during the publishing? This workflow creates both the tiles and features at the same time and establishes a relationship between the two. Thus, when you add the tiles to the map, the system knows about the features and uses them for popups. If you published the two items separately, then there is no automatic relationship set up. From the Map Viewer, if you add the tiles layer, you can enable popups and point to the features. Thanks, Mike
