Very strange. I'd suggest trying to clear your browser cache and try again. What browser and version are you using? Can you share the URL to the symbol you are using? So you add 60 features using the same symbol, but then after 60 you can't? Did you save your map? Perhaps you can share it and post the URL to it. Thanks, Mike

Yes, that is correct. Other desktop users can download the ArcMap files and use them. However, you won't be able to display these file types over the map in arcgis.com. For that right now, you do need ArcGIS Server. Thanks, Mike

Unfortunately, it appears that your service is not publicly accessible. I can't see this layer in the map: http://dfwapolygis02/ArcGIS/rest/services/ApplicationServices/OffChannelSites/MapServer I assumed that you are looking a popups in ArcGIS.com, but are you looking at them in ArcGIS Explorer Online? Did you enable popups on the layer? This is another difference. Before, you could Identify on any layer without doing anything. Now, you must explicitly enable popups on the layer first. Are you able to enable popups? One of the things I was going to check by looking at the URL above was to see if the SHAPE field showed up in the list of fields for a given sub-layer of the service. You should be able to look at the link above and inspect the information about each sublayer. Perhaps you can check if the SHAPE field is really visible. Thanks, Mike

Can you share the REST endpoint of this service so I can have a look at it? Or share the web map it's in? Thanks, Mike

In April, we introduced the new popup window which now requires the the visible shape field. You do need to make the shape field visible in ArcMap, but you also need to restart your service, and I think refresh the REST endpoint of it, because it typically gets cached. You need to login as an admin and clear the cache. http://<server>/arcgis/rest/admin Thanks, Mike

The service has to be externally accessible. I suspect the delete didn't actually work. It may have looked like it was removed, but maybe if you refresh your browser, it would return. Thanks, Mike

Sorry, I have no idea why you can't see these. Could you have added this imagery layer a different way, not as a basemap? If you set the basemap in a new map, you don't see it either? It is very strange because these are layers are part of the service so they should be there. Perhaps you can contact Technical Support. Thanks, Mike

It looks like you're running on a Mac, so hopefully this info will be the same. In Safari on the PC, if I right-click an image, I see a "Copy Image Address" option which copies the URL to the actual image. This is the URL to just the image. There may be other ways a browser can return the url of an image, but this is one easy way. You probably will want to get the image url when looking at this page, rather than your album page which shows thumbnails. https://picasaweb.google.com/106620077271504847614/CommunityAtlas?authkey=Gv1sRgCPjl1MmznqX26QE&feat=directlink#5617758052545282018 Hope this helps, Mike

Can you elaborate on what exactly you are doing? Are you trying to add an image to a popup in the "popup media" section of the popup configuration panel? What is the URL you are providing to the image? It has to be an actual URL to a PNG, JPG, etc. not a link to a web page. Here's a link to one of my images in Picasa Web Albums. Try using this one; it works for me. https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-cbCShVld5bE/TfpH0sKwr_I/AAAAAAAAAQY/fLXswe4fLIg/s640/Phone2.jpg Also, in Picasa, when you upload images to an album, you probably need to make sure it's not marked as private. I didn't try that specifically, but I'm guessing it might not work in this case. Thanks, Mike

The release of this functionality is tied to the ArcGIS 10.1 release. So it's months away. Perhaps Q1 2012. There will be a beta version of ArcGIS.com available, but only for a small selected group. I don't know what it takes to get selected. I'm guessing there will be some information available at the User Conference in San Diego. I don't know of anyone who will host services for you. Thanks, Mike

Here are some options to do what you want to do. If you have ArcGIS Server, you could host this data yourself in a map service. If you don't, all you can do at this point with ArcGIS Online (ArcGIS.com is the website that represents ArcGIS Online) is manually draw your data over the map (when viewing a map, you can "Create an editable layer"). As I mentioned in an earlier post, we are working on the ability to add data over the map without having your own ArcGIS Server, but that functionality is not available yet. Thanks, Mike

Do you connect to the internet through a proxy server? I have heard of issues related to this. Are you running the latest service packs? http://forums.arcgis.com/threads/13110-ArcInfo-Crashes-when-I-try-to-quot-Add-Data-quot-(Arc-10) If this is not the case, I'd suggest contacting technical support. What do you mean they are missing? Are they not in the list of basemaps or are they just not drawing on your map? Thanks, Mike
