No, this is not possible in the current system. This is something we're looking at. What you can do is use one username that multiple people can access by sharing the password to that username. Thanks, Mike

I am not seeing any issue. What version of ArcGIS Desktop are you using? Could your internet proxy have changed? Mike

I suspect you may be talking about the ArcGIS Runtime that is part of ArcGIS 10.1. Here's an excerpt from an ArcNews article. An exciting addition to ArcGIS at 10.1 will be ArcGIS Runtime, which lets developers create and deploy focused, stand-alone GIS applications for desktop users, who have been asking for a small, lightweight deployment that, in terms of capabilities, fits between ArcGIS Engine and the ArcGIS Web Mapping APIs. The new runtime is designed for both desktop and cloud development. It has a fast display and does not require installation; it can be run directly from a CD. The learning curve for the new runtime is expected to be very gentle for developers familiar with the web APIs. Here's the full article: http://www.esri.com/news/arcnews/summer11articles/the-road-ahead-for-arcgis.html Thanks, Mike

I'm not really clear on what you are trying to do... Are you trying to upload and store MXD files in 'My Content' of ArcGIS Online? Are you creating map services using ArcGIS Server and you're wondering how to organize the layers inside your map services (via the mxd) so that they can be mashed up into web maps easily? Something else? Mike

The message is perhaps a bit misleading. The file size limit is not based on the size of the KML file, but the resulting size of that KML file in the map. The KML file is basically imported into a native format in JSON, and the result is that it's over 10mb in size. This is what I suspect. If you can make the KML file smaller, perhaps split it in two somehow, you might be able to load it. In any case, with this much data you're trying to add, you're likely to see performance drop when viewing the map. You're approaching the limit of the browser to draw the features. If you can share the URL to the KML, we can test it out for sure. Thanks, Mike

This WMS service doesn't specify any coordinate system information at the root layer element, but instead at each sub-layer. We don't handle this case well currently and the WMS service doesn't display. A fix for this will be included in an update to the website planned for early next week. Thanks for letting us know about this. Mike

This functionality is not available in ArcGIS Online Map Viewer. However, you could possibly write your own application... I did a quick search in ArcGIS Online for "closest" and it turned up some results that you may find useful. http://www.arcgis.com/home/search.html?q=closest&t=content Hope this helps, Mike

You've encountered kind of an obscure bug... The solution is to make sure you sign in before you create your map. This one will also be included in the update to our website early next week. Thanks, Mike

You have found a bug. The problem is the coordinate system of the WMS service is not being preserved when embedded and is getting switched to geographic coordinates. Thus, your shapefiles don't overlay properly. The only work around I can think of (I believe this will work, but don't have your shapefiles so I can't test it) is to recreate your map keeping the default basemap in web mercator. Then add your WMS and shapefiles over the top of this. The WMS service does support Web Mercator, so it will overlay. You can then set the transparency of the basemap to 100% so that it is not visible. Thanks, Mike

I can see that you're registered with ArcGIS.com with a user name that appears to be derived from your company name, not the user name you're posting here with. I assume you're using the right user name when trying to sign in. Your username is also all capital letters. User names and passwords are case sensitive, so make sure you're typing in the right case. You can reset your password at: http://webaccounts.esri.com hope this helps, Mike

ArcGIS Online Map Viewer doesn't support creating a graduated symbol map. You can, however, do a classified map and symbolize based on the classes. Thanks, Mike

We're looking at the popup problem and should have a fix out early next week. I've not seen or heard about a saving issue. Can you provide a set of steps that will reproduce the problem? Thanks, Mike
