Yes, map image layers are drawn by the server and return an image of the drawing to a client application. You do need your own server to host a map image layer.

It's a technical limitation. A feature layer (hosted or not) passes the feature geometry to the client app (browser, mobile device, desktop app) and the client draws it. Web browsers don't have the ability to draw complex line symbols. thanks, Mike

Yes, it doesn't appear this is documented, at least not that I can find. I'll write up an issue to have this documented. Thanks, Mike

So you just want to remove the layer? Simply save your web map. The layer with the error will not be saved as it is not currently part of the map. Thanks, Mike

ArcGIS Pro supports connecting to ArcGIS online and directly opening web maps. If the map has a map notes layer, it will be visible in Pro too. Thanks, Mike

Map service or feature service, that really shouldn't make a difference. Perhaps the second time when you published the feature service, you had set the time zone before publishing?

Where is this service running (hosted or your own server) and did you publish the service with the time zone set? Without any time zone configuration, ArcGIS Online assumes all time is stored in UTC. Thus, when displayed in the Map Viewer of ArcGIS Online, time values will get adjusted based on your offset from UTC. To avoid this, you need to publish data (either hosted or to on premises portals) with the appropriate time zone or ensure time values are in UTC. If you have published to your local server and you're consuming the service in ArcMap, ArcMap doesn't make the same assumption about the time zone and just displays the value stored without offset. Hope this helps, Mike

Our current goal is to release an updated table view in the Map Viewer at the next release. This view will essentially provide the same viewing capability as the table view on the Data tab of an item, although in a smaller format. Once the integration in the map viewer is complete, this will allow other client apps, like Web App Builder to utilize the new table. Thanks, Mike

Here are some facts I think will be useful The size of a hosted feature layer as shown on the item details page now accurately reflects the actual database storage size for that layer. This search expression (I believe) will find all hosted feature layers in your organization if you are an admin and can see all private items. type:"feature service" typekeywords:hosted Wallace, Cameron I'm not sure your expression is correct. We do calculate credit charges based on hourly database consumption. However, I think it would be difficult for your to do the same calculation. It would require that you have the total database size for each hour in the month to be able to calculate the fractional credit consumption for that hour, then sum all the hourly credit usage. Basically, the hour unit is the finest level of granularity we use to calculate cost, because database size is dynamic. The best you can easily do is determine the current credit consumption, based on the current database size. We are working to improve our reporting abilities for item sizes so that people will be able to more easily find items that are consuming a lot of credits. This will eventually come. In the meantime, you can get an estimate of the current consumption by going to your My Organization page, signed in as an administrator As an administrator, navigate to My Organization. Click on View Status. Scroll to the bottom of the page and you'll see a circular credit utilization chart. Click on the segment of the chart that reflects storage. The chart will update to show storage. Click again on the chart on the segment that reflects "Feature storage". Below the chart, you'll see a table that reflects the total database storage and file storage associated with feature layers and the credit consumption during the specified time period, which you set at the top of the page. Thanks, Mike

There is currently no way to restrict the maximum scale. This has been discussed by our team and we have it written up as an enhancement, but it just hasn't been implemented. What is the current maximum scale of your basemap? Are you using something custom? Mike
