To Jason -- So, awhile back when I spoke to you on the phone about ListLayers and how they were objects rather than strings, you mentioned that I could use a List Comprehension to achieve my results. I am wondering if you could post some sample code of how to use list comprehensions with arcpy. Even perhaps as a blog post.

Others have requested the ability to search for and view user profiles when users ask to join a group. However, we've not implemented any user search due to privacy concerns. We are currently working on adding a "description" property to the user profile. If the user allows this to be seen, we can expose this description to the group administrator when that user asks to join a group. FYI, you can share items with everyone or share them with groups. You can't share items with individual users. Mike ArcGIS Online team There is a way around this issue. Off the top of my head I do not remember, but I was able to see that someone wanted to see the data. I did not act to allow them access. I then found a search capabilility where I could search for users to add myself. but if I then searched for the user wanting access, I could see their full name, thus then decide to either go back and accept their request or decline. So for now this works for me.

Is this next release going to happen at the same time as beta 2, since it is now January?

The geodatabase is going through major changes structurally as to why this is no longer supported. There are a few threads discussing this change in course from ESRI. The GDB tables themselves are being reduced to 6 tables thus they will not work when accessing a GDB from a past release. It sounds like you are hoping for a Save A Copy function to be built into ArcMap, like what can be done with MXDs.

Ted, Prior to this 9.4 release, the only way around the problem is to capture a picture manually (print screen, etc..) and edit it Online (Edit Detailted information -> click the thumbnail -> browse for a thumbnail to use). Mark Good to know for now, anyway. Thanks Mark.

Yep, so it does install on Win7, the problem is Norton. Norton has a Sonor Protection, and that is what is preventing the install to go forward. Not Sure what Sonor is, but it keeps removing a glb file. I have stopped Sonor, Installed Successfully, and I am about to turn the Sonor back on to see if everything is ok.

However, map documents (mxd), layer files (lyr), globe documents (3dd) don't automatically have thumbnails because the file itself doesn't have a thumbnail inside of it. So these have to be created after the item is uploaded. Mike Is there a way to generate thumbnails manually for LPKs, in not, how does one do it for these other file types?
