Not really a major problem, but a minor inconvenience, for sure. Thanks Jeff for filing this, Bart's Paws are incapable of typing things on a keyboard, and every time he tries to talk on a phone, no words come out just howls. I will pass on the NIM number to him, perhaps with a bully bone:)

Hi Ted, In ArcGlobe, while in an edit session you cannot access/change layer properties. In addition you are also not allowed to do a manual refresh of the layer (via TOC, rt. click on layer --> refresh) - this is as designed. Difference in behavior between Scene and Globe is because Globe makes use of a disk cache whereas Scene does not. Changing layer properties will cause a refresh of a layer's disk cache which can cause display issues with edits which have not yet been saved. So in Globe you will have to define the layer properties before you start the edit session. Thanks, Deepinder Deol 3D-Team I get it, thanks for responding and explaining, It just seems like a huge limitation, and definitely not a consistent user experience for us across the software stack. With editing in 3D, i now have to do a bit more planning. In Map, I can just act, at a moments notice to make changes, this is why this is a limitation because my brain works on impulses, I am editing, and ideas pop up to be solved, there is flexibility in Map that support those types of workflows. In Globe, this is not the case, If I have an impulse, I need to stop editing, make any layer changes, then go back to editing. This is not as seamless.

The ESRI Toolkit is dependent on the Silverlight Toolkit, what is the dll(s) for the ms silverlight toolkit that your ESRI.ArcGIS.Client.Toolkit.dll is dependent on? What dlls is the ESRI.ArcGIS.Client.Behaviors dependent on as well, by chance?

We will retest at pre release. It could be that this will not be able to be repro'd. I was unable to repro, because the functionality no longer worked after the initial problem, meaning every time I opened Item Desc, my application - Scene was now frozen, definitely a nasty bug, so perhaps it has resolved itself. Thank you for trying to play with this for us, Karen.

Yep, I read that doc, I guess my next move will be to summarize my object ID to ascertain whether there are any non unique values, I just thought since it is the Object ID, that there would be no null or all values would be unique.

So, I heard something about this at the Fed UC, so is this going to be in beta, so we can test it out, or perhaps a video upload that we can preview? Ahh, ArcGIS Explorer Online, sounds kinda cool.

If I open table on a query layer that I have added to ArcMap, the table opens in about a minute or two, and then I receive a couple of messages about errors reading OID, then only a few records actually open in the table. See Attachments. I am using sql server 2005 sp3, on Windows Server 2003 R2, with ArcSDE 9.3.1, all 64 bit. OS Authenticated.
