Hi Brock, What type of functionality are you looking to have by adding a dynamic layer to ArcGIS Online? Are you looking to specify symbology? When adding an item to ArcGIS Online through add Item, it is not possible to specify any specific operations on a layer as ArcGIS Online has built in functionality to perform some operations. Adding a specific request to a dynamic layer will not be possible as an added item to ArcGIS Online, but it may be able to perform you desired task in a different way. Please let me know if you can provide more details about the functionality that you are looking for and we can see if there is a different way to accomplish this. Thanks, Kelly

Hi Dan, I'm going to look into the issue reported to see if this has been reported as a bug. As a workaround, you can manually type in your date field name between the curly brackets in the create labels text box, example: {date_time}, and your date field will be labeled. Thanks, Kelly

Hi Hani, The basemap in ArcGIS Online sets the projection for the webmap. If you are using an out of the box basemap provided by Esri, then the projection of your web map will be Web Mercator Auxiliary Sphere. If your data needs to be transformed in order to display correctly in the Web Mercator Auxiliary Sphere then please perform the correct projections and transformations prior to publishing. You can also create a tiled basemap in the projection that your data is in and set it as a basemap. This will ensure that all data in the web map is the same projection as your basemap and your data will line up. Here is some documentation regarding Basemaps in ArcGIS Online: Choose Basemap Designing Map to Overlay with ArcGIS Online, Google Maps and Bing Maps Cheers, Kelly

HI Kirk, The web map's zoom level is determined by the available zoom levels established in the basemap. The basemap in the webmap above is the topographic basemap which has 20 Levels of Detail. In order to zoom in further, you will need to create a tiled map service with your desired Level of Details and set that as the basemap in the web map. Please note, in order to change the available scale in a created webmap, you will need to hit save and refresh the map to make the new scale avaialble for use. For this information and more basemap considerations, check out the documentation below: Choose basemap—ArcGIS Online Help | ArcGIS Thanks, Kelly

Hi Ben, At this point in time, it is not possible to share a web map with only certain people without requiring the users to login with an ArcGIS Online Account. As the finest grained sharing permissions are to a group level, ArcGIS Online needs to be able to verify the group members in order to determine if they have access to the content, hence requiring a login. As this isn't currently a feature of ArcGIS Online, please post this idea on the ideas site as many other users may also be interested in this functionality. Thanks, Kelly

Hi Anton, In order to edit layers from ArcGIS Server in a Web Map, it must be a feature service and not a map service. For more information about about ArcGIS Server Services as Layers in ArcGIS Online, take a look at the following documentation.

Hello, There is no functional reliance of a published feature service on an SD file. As Denik mentioned, once the feature service is published, the SD file doesn't interact with the Feature Service moving forward. You can delete the SD file after publishing without affecting your service, but I will outline a few considerations below regarding this choice: Are you going to republish this data or have another organization publish the same service? The SD file can be used to republish the same data in your organization or can be shared for others to publish the same Feature Service. This may be helpful for test data which needs to be republished often or a publishing environment where items are moved from Staging to production in different organization. When you have an SD file in your content in ArcGIS Online, you can easily hit the publish button if a new service needs to be created, instead of having to re-upload the same data. Will you be overwriting the Feature Service from ArcMap as a regular workflow? Currently, there is a known issue with overwriting feature services from ArcMap if the SD File has been deleted. If this will be a common workflow, then store the SD File in your content. A note on credits. The credit charges from the SD file will come from Tile and Data storage at a cost of 1.2 credits per 1 GB per month. So depending on you SD file size, credit charges will be minimal. In the end, the choice is yours for keeping of deleting the SD file. Let me know if you have any questions, Kelly
