Hi Greg, Can you verify that the web map and hosted feature service that are displayed in this web application have also been shared with everyone? I can navigate to your webmap, but am unable to view the feature service layer. Cheers, Kelly

Hi Mike, There is a bug related to synchronizing local edits to hosted feature services with global IDs in ArcMap, NIM090614. When you select the Enable Sync option in ArcGIS Online, it automatically adds Global IDs to the feature service to permit editing in ArcGIS for Windows Mobile. If you are not using ArcGIS for Windows Mobile, try republishing your data ensuring that there are no Global IDs. Ensure that the Enable Sync is not selected for the feature service. Then try editing your data according to your previous workflow. Let me know if this works for you. Cheers, Kelly

Hi Eric, Filtering is available in ArcGIS Online web maps now. In order to filter a feature in the web map, it will need to be added as a feature layer. Try adding the following link to your web map: http://sampleserver3.arcgisonline.com/ArcGIS/rest/services/Hurricanes/NOAA_Tracks_1851_2007/MapServer/0 The filter option will be available if you click the arrow button beside the feature layer in the contents window. Cheers, Kelly

This appears to work for my test data. It does seem to place a marker and pan to the item. I am not sure if it is supposed to zoom to the item like I have seen in the test examples. Is this the expected result? Thanks, Brian Hi Brian, The application should automatically zoom to the queried parcel, once it has been selected in the panel. If you are still running into errors, feel free to message me the URL to your application. Thanks

Hello, This issue appears to be related to the projection of the underlying feature layer. Please try setting the data frame of your map service or feature service to the Web Mercator Auxiliary Sphere. If you are still running into the issue after making this change, feel free to message me the link to your application. I hope this helps, Kelly

Hi Timothie, Depending on your workflow, searching for an address won't cost any credits. There are two ways to find a location in ArcGIS Online, Geocoding and Geosearch. A Geocoding workflow will use credits, where a Geosearch workflow will not use any credits. The differences between a Geocode and Geosearch services are outlined in the below paragraphs: What are Geocoding Services? Geocoding and geosearch capabilities are built into many ArcGIS products. The primary purpose of geocoding services is to convert an address or other identifier (such as postal code) to an x,y coordinate and save the result to an existing record in a database. Batch geocoding falls into this category. What is a Geosearch Service? This service provides the ability to search for a feature or point-of-interest based on an address or keyword, and then zoom to that location. The result might be displayed on the map, but the result is not stored for later use. Geosearch does not use any service credits. This information and further details about the two service types are outlined in the documentation at the following link: http://www.esri.com/software/arcgis/arcgisonline/credits/geocoding I hope this is helpful, Kelly

Good Afternoon, Although the pathname is no longer stored in the Server Manager in a browser, it is possible to access the original document name through your administrative connection in Catalog. If you published your Map Service from a saved MXD, you can right click on the service from within the catalog window, select service properties and navigate to the Parameters tab. There is a section called original document which will indicate the original document path if one was avaialble at the time of publishing. Kelly

Hello, I'd like to get a little more information about the error that you are reporting. What kind of data is in your web map? Is it a hosted feature service, or a shapefile added directly into the web map? Are you using an Organizational account? What type of symbology is being used in your web map? If anyone has a specific web map that they would like to share, please feel free to message me the URL. Thanks, Kelly

Hi Ian, It is expected behaviour that the labels do no appear when adding a feature layer. The labeling property is stored with the map service, and is not viewed when a feature layer is added to the application. This is consistent across all of the client platforms. If you have further questions related to other potential bugs, feel free to post additional details about your specific workflow, or contact ESRI Support Services.

There was an update made to ArcGIS Online night week, and as part of that update the 'Open in Explorer Online' option was removed. You can read about the other updates made at the following link: http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/...0000006000000/ You can still manually navigate to explorer online, http://www.arcgis.com/explorer/ and sign into your account to review you webmaps, but are not able to perform this directly from ArcGIS.com anymore. This forum also discusses the changes in funtionality, related to ArcGIS explorer online: http://forums.arcgis.com/threads/73479-quot-Open-in-Explorer-Online-quot-option-gone

Hi Tanya, What type of service are you trying to edit, is it a hosted feature service or an ArcGIS Server Feature Service? If it is a hosted feature service, what type of editing features have been enabled? If it is an ArcGIS Server Feature Service, what version of ArcGIS Server are you using? What version of SDE is installed? There was a bug, Unable to add a feature for a Version 10.1 feature service against a Version 9.3.1 geodatabase. This has been resolved with Service Pack 1. http://support.esri.com/en/bugs/nimbus/role/beta10_1/TklNMDgxMjIw Let me know if this helps.
