ModelBuilder: Defining Output File Names

Hi folks,

I'm trying to self-teach myself Modelbuilder, so apologies if this is simple. I'm looking to automate the output file names relative to the input file name, e.g. if the input was a feature class called 'geo_data', I'd want the output dataset to be named 'geo_data_buffer'.

i.e. INPUTVARIABLE_buffer

I'm sure this is just a case of syntax learning as I assume this must be doable.
