I had the pleasure of recently interviewing Professor Chris Carter, professor of geography from Long Beach City College, about his book for Esri Press entitled Introduction to Human Geography Using ArcGIS Online. The interview is posted here as a video. I found it wonderful to chat with Professor Carter about why he wrote the book, the reactions of his students to using ArcGIS Online in a human geography course, and his recommendations for using the book in your own courses and classrooms. About the Author

I believe that spatial thinking can transform education and society through the application of Geographic Information Systems for instruction, research, administration, and policy.
