Add multiple users to one assignment in Workforce

Our company is very new with Workforce For ArcGIS and we are testing out it’s functionality. The way our field crews operate is that we assign each crew a project and then assign equipment for that project. Is there a way to write a python script to have the ability to add multiple people to one assignment and to update the Workforce for ArcGIS module to add “assets”?

Hi Craig,

I hope you are well. We would also be interested in this functionality plus the other noted further down - is this something that is now available?

Thanks, Gideon

This is still on our Roadmap but we won't be addressing it until after Workforce is integrated with Field Maps. That work is currently scheduled for next year.

Hi Craig,

We would also like to assign multiple users to an assignment and then have crews work on them as they are available.  We are trying to honor the licensing agreement by assigning usernames/passwords to each mobile working.  We were using a single username for multiple workers and they could all see every assignment and work on them individually (again, I know this is a license violation) but we need the functionality to assign the same job to multiple people or a workgroup?  Any light at the end of the tunnel on this for a future release? We are using the ArcGIS Workforce Classic.  I appreciate any information.

Hi @AmandaOpp

It sounds like the Workforce integration into Field Maps is in preview/beta currently, and is slated for February 2025 release, as seen in this post

I am excited for this functionality as well as it's quite important to our workflows.

That's awesome news.  I have been waiting on this functionality for a long time.  Fingers crossed that the release stays Feb 2025!

Craig,

I'm planning to use Workforce for one of my clients and the ability for mobile workers to see unassigned work around them and work on it is necessary.

According the the product plan, when this feature will be available?

Thanks

Ofra,

The earliest that this capability will be available would be mid-2020.

Hi Craig,

Any development in regards of workers being able to see unassigned tasks and selecting which task they can do or assigning themselves a task from the unassigned task list or map?

Thanks,
Kevin

Hi Kevin,

This is still on our Roadmap but we won't be addressing it until after Workforce is integrated with Field Maps. That work is currently scheduled for later this year.
