Hi,
I am experiencing some troubles with domains in my Utility Network. For my Devices, I am using Subtype Group Layers. Now I want to create domains for each Device-Subtype (e.g. I want to define different types of "ASAT"), but thats not working out for me.
However, I am currently working with the ArcGIS lesson "Validate edits in the utility network with attribute rules" aswell. (link to the project package: https://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=38d698dec2b141dba7159249ca09e237#overview).
The Electric Devices in this project are also using subtype group layers and each Subtype has different assettypes. Thats exactly what I want to do in my utility network. So.. how does this works?
Thank you for your help!
Luca

Hi Luca. I think I answered a similar question this morning. Maybe take a look to see if it's what you need?
Could I ask, are you building a UN model from scratch or using the ESRI base models as a template to customize-from?
If you're building from scratch, then your designated asset groups will need to be added into the model as subtypes (not simply fields) -
If you *are* using an ESRI base model to customize and your subtypes aren't showing up. That's definitely strange and may warrant a help ticket. Those subtypes should be built-in.

Hi,
no, that is not working for Subtype Group Layer. Those layer dont even have the design -> subtype menu as you mentioned...
