Export Matrix UN tool

Hello everyone,
we are trying to use the "Export Matrix" tool to export the Utility Network rules from our network into an Excel file.
After obtaining the file, we couldn't find much documentation, but we inferred the following:

• (blank): no rule is defined between the specified elements;

• 1: a rule is defined between the elements;

• -2: ?? (we are unable to understand its meaning).

Could someone kindly explain the correct logic of how this works, and in particular what the -2 value means?

-2 is invalid, a rule cannot be created for this combo.  Some more info
