I have some users receiving this error when attempting to submit a survey response via the ios app (screenshot attached). This form was created via Survey123 Connect. I cannot see how this could be an issue with the "bind::esri:fieldLength" as I have increased the field lengths as needed. Most of the response information is pre-populated for the user, despite a few select_one/select_multiple questions, none of which contain options that exceed the character limit.

This is a rare occurrence as I have only seen the error a handful of times, despite having over 2000 submitted responses. Is there anything other than the field length that could cause this issue?

I cannot attach the exact XLS for confidentiality purposes.

Looks like it is a photo since it says .jpg.  The limit on AGOL is 10 MB.  I thought they were upping that but I cannot not find it.  Anyone know?

For us if it got that big we found that it was crews trying to upload a panorama or some were even taking screenshots of the photo then uploading that.  Which blows my mind but they did it.

@JesseBaker     The select_multiple questions could be the cause. Since the output of a select_multiple is comma separated list of all selected values, the length of the string could exceed the field length.

Having a look to the XLSForm would definitively help. Could you share it with Esri Technical Support?

@IsmaelChivite Yes, I could share with tech support. How would I go about doing that?

Thanks!

@JesseBaker  You can create a Support Case here: https://support.esri.com/en-us/contact   If you are not familiar with the process, check with the person that manages your Esri licenses. All Esri customers have a designated 'Authorized Caller' who can create Esri Tech Support cases.  If you cannot figure this out, email survey123@esri.com so we can contact you direclty.
