Getting an error "Failed to load notebook" when opening .ipynb file in ArcGIS Pro 2.6

I have tried creating new notebooks as well as opening existing notebooks, but I get the same error "Failed to load notebook".  This occurs after tab shows "Initializing Kernel". What am I missing?  Through research, it seems as if I should just be able to run notebooks through arc pro without additional downloads. Thanks in advance.

Sara Loreno You don't need any additional downloads.

Can you give an example of a "new" notebook you are trying to create?

or does it fail immediately when you try to make a new notebook?

Dan,

I was able to create a new notebook by selecting Insert > New Notebook.  When I try to open the created notebook from Catalog, I get the "Failed to Load Notebook error".

I also tried opening a notebook that I created in Jupyter (I am quite familiar with Jupyter Notebooks and have been using them for years) and wasn't able to open one of the existing notebooks either.

Thanks,

-Sara

Sara... sounds like an issue.

I can open existing and new notebooks from catalog without issue (I just can graph with matplotlib yet).

Since 2.6 is so recent, I would file a case with Technical Support.

It could be your environment or just about anything.

Good luck and report back if you get a case number or resolution.

"Unable to load notebook" is what I'm getting from ARCGIS PRO 3

Yes, me too. It happened when I created a clone of the python environment and started using it. When switching back to the default environment I can open the notebooks again..

Same thing happened to me when using a new env.

Have you solved the issue?
