Calculate Field is applying to all fields, not just selected field

Trying to add some Arcade expressions to selected fields. Upon applying the expression, it calculates all the fields within the attribute table to have that expression. Why is it applying to all the fields, and not just the selected field?

Dear Nick,

If you want to do the Arcade expression, you can pass just single Field.

and it will apply the expression on the given field.

This is what was applied to Fire_District_Abrev

I don't believe the expression itself is the issue though. Regardless of what expression (the attached or any different expression) is applied to any field, it applies said expression to all the attribute fields and subsequently rewrites any expression that may have been in the other fields.

It is good that you have Enable Undo active.  So don't save the edits, close the table and see if it is ok.

Did you have any pending unsaved edits prior to using Calculate Field?
