ArcGIS Pro 3.4.2: Exporting a layout containing imagery as PDF results in missing imagery,

In the screenshot below, I exported a layout containing imagery as a PDF. The PDF was successfully generated; however, the imagery is missing from the output.

What could be causing this issue?

I've reattached it in this post. The image file has a .img extension.

The image has a PCS, and I changed the Map GCS to PCS, in order to match the image PCS, but it produced en empty PDF. I think there is a problem with the image, but I will check again.

But in principle, why should the failure to display the imagery in the PDF be a coordinate system issue? Isn’t the PDF supposed to simply display what physically appears in the layout?

I have reattached the image with its GCS before it was assigned a PCS.
