Addressing Latency in ArcGIS Online for Web Map with Multiple Scale-Dependent Layers

Hello ESRI Community,

I have created a mobile map package in ArcGIS Pro featuring the locations of businesses in my country. Each category of business is represented using a point feature class with unique icons. I have set several scale dependencies to optimize map visibility (see attached), where businesses start to display from a scale of 1:9,000.

To avoid overcrowding, I’ve designed the points and labels to turn on progressively as the user zooms in, ensuring that overlapping businesses are turned off at certain scales and become clearer as zoom levels increase. However, after publishing this map to ArcGIS Online, I am experiencing significant latency—particularly with the business points and labels taking about 30 seconds to draw, which is far too long for a user-friendly experience.

I believe this delay is related to the multiple duplicated layers due to the scale dependencies I’ve set. I’m looking for best practices to reduce this latency while maintaining the clarity and functionality of the map as the user zooms in.

Any advice or suggestions on how to address this performance issue in ArcGIS Online would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your help!
