IE Performance

I'm experiencing severe performance issues in IE with the "snap to grid" option in the measurement tool. While v2.5 is an improvement (slightly) over v2.4, the drawing performance lag between moving the mouse, and drawing the '+' and line on the screen is at least 3-5 seconds at best, and sometimes significantly worse. I've seen instances where I needed to hold the mouse still for 10 seconds prior and 5 seconds after clicking to set a point in order to get the 'snap to grid' point on the right place.

Since this is completely within the API code, I'm wondering if there is anything I can do to speed up performance of this tool? This is a very useful function, but as it stands it's worse than useless: it's frustrating and will cause a lot of grief to my users.

I'm using IE 9, though the problem seems to exist in IE 7 and 8 as well; I have a single map layer and feature layer visible during drawing (other layers have been 'turned off').

Do you have the same problem when running one of the measurement widget samples?

Apparently not.

So - how do I get reasonable performance for my site in IE? The measurement widget is the same in either case.

More information on this: It seems that IE's miserable performance in the measurement snapping tool is directly related to the number of features IE has to process. If that number is few (e.g. the sample applications, or if I'm zoomed in really far on my application) the performance is barely adequate. If the number of features is large (e.g. you operate in the real world) the performance is awful.

This is limited to Internet Explorer. Neither Chrome nor Firefox exhibit this behavior, performing well no matter how many features are displayed.
