How to get Geoprocessing Widget to recognize different layer types?

Hello,

I have this issue when I add the out-of-box ‘Geoprocessing” widget, it only recognizes a polygon layer type from the webmap. I want the input layers to be able to be Points, Lines and Polygons. Right now the widget only recognizes the polygon features on the webmap.

I believe it is because the Parameter ‘Geometry Type:’ of that input is set to ‘esriGeometryPolygon’. See images below to help clarify question.  Anyone have any ideas ?

I've got no knowledge of any widget development but is the input not derived from the GP task you've published?  Try changing to Feature Set as your input to the tool before publishing it.

@DavidPike

thanks for the reply. Yeah I tried that and it's still only letting me use polygons.
