reduce height of search bar row

I have a row with a Search element. Currently the Search is the only item in that row. How can I reduce the height of that row? It seems like there is extra space below the search box, which pushes my main content further down the page.

I discovered that the extra space below the search box is removed upon publishing. It would be nice for the edit window to reflect the final product.

we have to make some room for the editor UI or else you wouldn't be able to edit the rows. We do our best to make the editor WYSIWYG but on very short rows you will see these discrepancies. Apologies for that
