I am trying to use the Join Layer feature in the ArcGIS for Power BI visual. We have an enterprise portal and I can add a feature layer from this ok. However, when I add a field from my Power BI data model to the Power BI Join Layer field well, after clicking on Create Join, it displays the "loading GIF" and goes no further. I have left it for what seems eternity, but still no error message or successful join.

Data types are both string, so this isn't the issue.

What am I missing? Is this a known bug?

After some further testing, I've found that there appears to be a 1,000 row limit on the Power BI table to which I am joining to the ArcGIS field. Up to 1,000 rows and the join completes, but 1,001 or greater and the join does not complete.

Is this an ArcGIS visual limit?

Hi @ChrisRead,

There shouldn't be a 1,000 row limit when creating the join. Please send me the data if you would like so that I can test on my end to see what happens. Thanks!
