Creating a related feature with edit widget

Hello, I have added the edit widget to my experience builder, but when it is creating records, it doesn't seem to allow the user to select the parent record. It just lets me select a feature class and start drawing the shape. When I save the record, it doesn't have a parent record.

Is it possible to create a related record which is linked to a parent in experience builder?

@vl-driscolls Please see related post: Re: Access and Edit Related Table Records in Exper... - Esri Community

Related records need to be created through the Form, starting from its parent layer. At this time, you cannot create a child record first and then try to link it back to its parent.

One question I have: does this mean that in Experience Builder, there is no way to first select the parent feature then create a child feature for that parent feature?

I had created a post a while ago, but I am not able to see related tables in the forms: https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-online-developers-questions/not-able-to-see-related-tables-in-m...
