Automatically run query widget

I would like to find a way to have a spatial query, with the query widget, run automatically upon selection of a feature with the selection tool in the map widget. Currently I have to click the apply button within the query widget after making the selection in the map. Ideally the query widget would automatically apply the query after the feature is selected, and then automatically clear the results when the selection in the map is cleared. Is this possible? Thanks.

Did you ever figure out a way to accomplish this? Looking to do the same thing in Experience Builder.

+1 to having this a feature. It is weird that I even have the options show up, when I have unchecked all relationship and selecting features but one. If only one type of relationship is configured, then the drop down menu should not be visible. It only makes the interface more confusing.
