Hello all,

I am trying to run System Log Parser on the ArcGIS Server (Web) tab. With my server URL, my authentication user name and password as Portal Federation login, from Now to 1 week ago, analysis Type as Complete, report type Spreadsheet.

We have run this in the past but now I'm getting a timeout error.

It says "Querying log data. Please wait..." and counts up to 3,243 KB retrieved.

Then it pops a Warning window -

Could not collect logs! ArcGIS Log Query Error: Could not send HTTP request for https://server URL/admin/logs/query. Reason: A client timeout has occurred. Request Execution Time: 300.03sec."

Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?

Thank you!

Can you take a copy of the log files and run the tool that way.  Going through the web is going to put a fair amount of load on the ArcGIS server and slow it right down. Especially if you’re doing it during business hours.

to minimise performance issues I copy log files off my server to another  machine and run the tool there.
