Did you install Drone2Map for ArcGIS behind a firewall (with no access to www.arcgis.com) and intent to license to a Portal for ArcGIS?
If so this is a known issue with Drone2Map 1.2. The first time you start Drone2Map it attempts to license to www.arcgis.com. If you are behind a firewall then licensing can not reach that url and the application will not open. (apologies, this has been corrected and will be released in a future build).
The work around is:
Edit the file "C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\IsolatedStorage\zovy5ns2.wpc\polmcoza.1d1\Publisher.kakyaydnplrkukgdwqg2aisd4iopallh\AssemFiles\LicensingOptions" (the specific path may be different on your system).
It will contain:
You need to edit this file to contain your on premise URL:
Thank you for your advices.
I shout down the firewall.
And edited the 'LicensingOptions' file to
https://myserver.mydomain.com/portal
4
False
However, the App still return the error message.
Please let me know any others.
Are you licensing against an ArcGIS Online Organization or your own on-premise Portal for ArcGIS?
I want to use AGOL and Portal for ArcGIS.
so, I've tested below four types.
https://esrikrbdd.maps.arcgis.com
3
True
https://esrikrbdd.maps.arcgis.com
4
False
http://portal.esrikr.com/portal
4
False
The solution that worked for me was the following.
1. Uninstall Drone2map
This does not remove all the settings though.
2. Remove/Backup the settings folder
C:\Users\<your_user>\AppData\Local\IsolatedStorage\qevc5fgp.m0l
qevc5fgp.m0l : this is a randomly generated folder name
NB! Please note editing the registry can compromise the stability of your operating system, please make a backup of the registery before hand.
3. Remove this registery entry Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ESRI\Drone2Map
4. Reinstall Drone2map.
These steps will bring back the initial configuration screen.
Also make sure to upgrade ArcGIS Pro before following these steps.
