Operations Dashboard with Splash Screen

Our organization is currently working on several dashboards that may become public.  I have been asked by several individuals if a splash screen is possible with the operations dashboard.  I think that this would be a nice feature to have in the future.

I agree; having a splash screen similar to Web AppBuilder in Ops Dashboard would be great. We have some COVID-19 dashboards that we would like to update, and a splash screen would be the ideal method for informing users about recent changes.

I would suggest doing this in Experience Builder.  Embed the dashboard with the full screen, and then add a Window (Splash) with content. I'm currently using it here: https://humanitarianincidentdashboard.com and it works well.

The blog post doesn't mention that:

1) When working with an existing Dashboard, a new URL must be distributed

2) The Dashboard is still accessible without a splash screen at the original URL

This is a limited work-around, but thanks for sharing it.

With the February release of ArcGIS Online, splash screen is now supported in ArcGIS Dashboards. See the What's New blog for more info. For ArcGIS Enterprise, it is targeted for the 11.3 release.
