Good morning,

I have a question, how many buildings can I upload to CE, what if I have about 900 buildings and I would like to make a nice scene,
what if they come from Sketchup, 3DSMax, will that work in CE 2014?

I know that , through the RULES we can generate thousands of buildings, but importing a Sketchup model takes much more memory

How can I apply a simple RULE to a Model?

Are there any limits?

well..

the limitations are mainly based on your hardware and internet speed.

we usually recommend that a .3ws file is max between 20 and 40 MB, so it's downloaded quite efficiently over the web.

what this then contains does not matter, if many textures or much geometry / objects.

ok ?

How do you mean 'upload to CityEngine' ?

Put in a WebScene (online) or open in CityEngine ?

Yes,

To upload it into a WebScene, previously in CE'13 I had all the model, but after exporting them they were loosing textures, or not uploading at all

hi,

sorry, but it's unclear to me what the issue is you have.

Does something now work in 2014 which worked in 2013 ?

Please describe very clearly what you are doing, maybe with a few screenshots. 🙂

If I understand the question, he can ask to work with the data size, like, how many buildings in a web scene, how many trees or objects...

I've tried to modeling a little town center;

~2400 Buildings,
~2400 3D Trees,
.
.

~7200 objects in the total.

That's the link, you can examine that;
