Revamped data browser

Significant improvements have been made to the data browser interface, enhancing the user-friendliness of the experience when exploring data. The key changes include the addition of a vertical navigation bar, which allows users to switch between categories seamlessly without the need to navigate back and forth from the main page. Additionally, a "popular" category has been introduced, displaying popular variables from all categories together on one page, and a "new and noteworthy" category highlights new variables. The search functionality has been enhanced with the ability to segment by standard variables, my variables, and shared variables. Browsing options such as viewing variables by category, year, or source as well as advanced filtering options have also been added to provide more flexibility and ease of use.

Enhanced POI search workflow

The POI search has been streamlined into a single-page process. This workflow now includes improved summary results panes, scatterplot charts for numerical attributes, and a customizable results table to assist users in interpreting search results. Additionally, users can save their search criteria for future reuse. They can also save POI search layers.

Enhanced suitability analysis workflow

Key enhancements include a new and improved interaction experience between the results table and the map, chart controls and a zoom feature for better data analysis, and improved site pop-up information for more detailed insights.

Introduction of Business Analyst Assistant (Beta)

Our in-app, AI-powered assistant is here to guide you with various tasks in the app! It offers intelligent suggestions and can understand geographic context through prompts or search queries. It can help users create thematic maps, add points of interest to the map, and run infographics based on their topics of interest. Additionally, the Business Analyst Assistant (Beta) provides FAQs and how-tos to guide you through the software. Whether you're a beginner looking to learn the app or a power user seeking efficiency improvements, the assistant is a valuable tool. Please keep in mind that Business Analyst Assistant will only support English during the initial beta phase, and it will not be added to Community Analyst.

New infographics and reports improvements

  • New infographic gallery templates: State of the Community
  • Report improvements: Creating and exporting reports offers more user control than ever. Previously, charts in Excel reports were exported as images, which prevented users from exploring or interacting with the data. Now you can use the chart data for calculation and analysis, allowing you to create customized charts that highlight the most important information. These new report formats have an updated design and improved readability to meet accessibility requirements.

Improved accessibility with Calcite

Delivering accessible software continues to be a top priority. We are continuing the Calcite component migration and improvements in areas like accessibility, internationalization, and standardization.

ArcGIS Experience Builder: Business Analyst widget key enhancements

  • The Business Analyst widget can be used in a publicly shared Experience Builder app.
  • Added support for polygon feature map styles.
  • The user interface has a refreshed new look.
