Thank you so much for the response. Do (or can) the subsequent tasks in a GP service rely on outputs for the previous tasks in the GP service? I'm hoping to have a GP service with multiple tasks run a job using all of the tasks consecutively using one user defined input (e.g. Task 1: Run a GP tool using user defined input, Task 2: using the result table from Task 1, remove unwanted records via Table to Table tool to produce a final output table).

I'm hoping to filter my results from the first task of a GP service with a subsequent task in a GP service (e.g. using table view or select layer by attributes then deleting rows to filter out unwanted rows). What is the best way to go about this? The first task relies on user defined data. Can I use the 'share as geoprocessing service' option and add results to the service, or do I need to build a single script to run as a tool, then share that tool as a GP service? Thanks in advance, Tess

Good to know, and thank you so much for the response. I did post a question regarding this here. Do you have any recommendations for the approach to take to achieve this? Thanks again, Tess

I am currently using the elevation profile CMV widget (cmv-widgets/ElevationProfile.js at master · tmcgee/cmv-widgets · GitHub), and I'm looking to show the elevation profile of multiple DEMs along the same input line. Customized profile geoprocessing services work great individually with the widget, but what would I need to do to show these profiles in the same profile window simultaneously? Would I need a GPService with multiple profile tasks, or is there a way to configure the widget to use multiple profile task urls simultaneously? Maybe I should look into a stack profile geoprocessing service? Thanks in advance for any advice. Tess

Pretty cool widget! Would there by chance be a configuration option to simultaneously show profiles (on the same chart) from multiple profile tasks?

Thank you for the response on this, and I apologize for the delayed response. I was trying to use ESRI's World Geocoding Service without a necessary ArcGIS Online for organizations subscription. I was wrongly assuming the service might be included in our organization's enterprise licensing.

While trying to run the Reverse Geocode tool in ArcCatalog, I am running into a 'ERROR 000584 Implementation of this tool's validate is invalid' error. Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this? Thanks in advance, Tess

This is probably super straightforward, but I seem to be finding mixed options. What is an efficient way to convert a date field (MM/DD/YYYY hh:mm:ss AM/PM) to a numeric value (serial, epoch...) in a new numeric field? I am looking to better visualize and understand time distributions for a spatial dataset. I am using ArcMap 10.5. Thanks in advance! Is there a workflow that could allow for me to align an extruded polygon feature class with a 3D elevation layer (ESRI Terrain 3D)? I am trying to use a multipatch to model subsurface characteristics, though the multipatch does not align with the surface. Is there a way to mask out portions of the multipatch that are above ground level or force the surface of the multipatch to align with the terrain service? The subsurface portions of the multipatch work great. The multipatch was created by extruding the features to a depth from surface field in ArcPro (relative to ground). The extruded layer was then converted to a multipatch via the Layer 3D to Feature Class tool. The screenshots below are the subsequent service layers in a WAB (dev edition) application. Unfortunately, the resolution of the data the multipatch is based off of is quite coarse at ~8km. Maybe this is the ultimate source of the issue. 2D feature class service draped over terrain (this is the behavior I am looking for in the multipatch): Subsurface 3D multipatch service protruding through surface and draped 2D service: Subsurface 3D multipatch protruding through elevation service (2D service layer turned off): Thanks in advance, Tess

It looks like that worked for the basemap opacity, but the grid or ground surface is still opaque. It there a way to adjust the opacity of that? Thanks again! Tess

Is there a way to disable the default basemaps in a local scene in a web appbuilder (dev edition) application? Adjusting basemap transparency would also be a potential solution. I'm working on a subsurface 3D application where the layers have varying degrees of transparency, and an opaque basemap that I cannot seem to turn off makes it very hard to visualize the 3D layers. Thanks in advance, Tess

After checking again, I opened the old Pro project I was working from, and I did not have 'Navigate Underground' selected for the elevation surface in the local scene I was working in.... Glad it's almost Friday Thanks again for all of your help! Tess

Thanks for the reply. I was using the same process using base height and an expression with navigate underground enabled. I ended up doing the extrusion work I needed in a global scene vs. a local scene, and it appears to be working fine so far. I have then been reprojecting the exported multipatch to ingest it into a local web scene. Thanks again! Tess
