Hi, we did end up finding a resolution, in part due to Joshua Youngs response above. ESRI suggest using the built in tooling for db account creation via geoprocessing tools, as this grants the specific required permissions for each role. However as we are too far into our work to create a new account, we opted to enable db_datareader and db_datawriter (not owner) which has resolved the replica creation issues. ESRI said this is a valid approach and will not break the egdb. A long term solution would be to experiment with the db account creation tooling esri has and find the appropriate account type for your use case.

Hi, hoping someone can share their experience publishing services for offline use using a connection with a db account with db_reader role in SQL Server. We have a SQL Server database, ArcGIS Enterprise 10.9.1 and EGDB 10.8x. Our map services are feature enabled and published using an sde connection using a sql server db account which has "db_datareader" role, this practice is mirrored across numerous EGDBs registered against AGS Server as data stores. We are able to successfully take these feature services offline from one database but not another. There is a db account with "db_owner" role which IS successfully able to create replicas for offline use in field maps/arcgis pro, however items published from the connection using data reader role yeilds the following issues. The Feature Class is versioned without the ability to move to base, has global IDs. The only difference is this db_reader account on this database. SEVERE Jul 3, 2024, 15:01:39 Error executing tool. CreateFeatureServiceReplica Job ID: jc67fd73fb01c4230ade1369e0fc49195 : ErrorMsg@SyncGPService:{"code":400,"description":"Failed to create replica."} Failed to execute (Create Feature Service Replica). We are encountering the same issue as above with 20-30 of our Active Tab 3s, we run the streaming on other devices for the same segment, same capture settings and feature service all other devices work without crashing. Reports are that 100m of streaming at 10m streaming intervals causes the crash condition. We're doing further tests.

Thanks Richard, we'll notify users to store the appropriate transform in their ArcGIS Pro projects and request information about transforms published with the service on the source AGS Server.

Hi, We're adding a feature service by url from another ArcGIS server which we are storing credentials against. This Feature Service is in a particular datum and has on the fly transform enabled. Is there a way to request an alternative datum from within the portal item in AGS Enterprise, as in, bake it in to the Feature Service on our Portal? I can request the transform using query function on the source REST (define the destination SRID and Datum Transformation). Behavior I'd like is that when users load the portal item into Pro for example, it would automatically request the on the fly projection from the source server. Hoping to avoid users needing to explicitly specify the datum transform in their Pro projects.

Hi Guys, I'm creating a series of tasks in ArcGIS Pro 2.9.6 and wonder if it's possible to have an output feature class of a geoprocessing tool to not be hard-coded to a certain featureclass on a certain drive. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Petro

Hi, I've raised a case with ESRI support but wanted to see if the community was experiencing similar issues, they said there were a host of Field Maps visual bugs with the new release (22.3.1). We have a few long standing web maps with feature services which are now visualising data incorrectly in offline mode with the new update. We've not made any updates to the Feature Services or Web Maps. The behavior below is experienced in a number of similarly configured Feature Services. The feature service source is a single polgon SDE Feature class registered with enterprise 10.8.1, the Feature Service (with feature access and sync enabled) contains four feature layers which are different definiton queries on the source SDE feature class (for example, 1: status = Active, 2: status = Cancelled etc). When the webmap is viewed in Field Maps online mode, it shows visually as expected. However when taken offline, we're experiencing behavior which means that a polygon which has an active attribute is also being reflected in all other feature layers in the feature service. For example, in offline mode, an active polygon also shows in layers with definiton queries that should exclude it, eg. cancelled andd approved layers. The Search functionality also returns these incorrectly displaying polygons. I've looked at the .geodatabase which is generated and drives the field map and no duplicate polygons exist.

Please enable the join layer functionality even when the widget's settings pane is not open. It currently only operates as expected when the join layer is open, which requires dashboard users to go through 4-5 menus to get to this option. This is not reasonable to expect a dashboard viewer/non gis user to do. I would like the users to use filters on the rest of the dashboards page and have the map filter to the joined features, without having to set it up each time. Yeah interactively it appears different, unfortunately, we've got a few python workflows to create/update tile cache that requires an admin/publisher an .ags connection. Anyone come up with any other workarounds in Python? See python example - https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/tool-reference/server/create-map-server-cache.htm#C_GUID-9C0C189E-C0F3-4846-9C22-1FF497AAD543

Link Charts are currently only exportable in GraphML, XML Papers or PNG file formats. These formats aren't the most accessible or interactive. Otherwise they can only be viewed in ArcGIS Pro 2.6. It would be useful to allow these to published to ArcGIS Online, Portal and/or Dashboards so users can share charts and don't need to have 2.6 to view them.

User's in our organisation have raised that they need to use the 'Zoom Out by Rectangle' tool, which is currently not available in ArcGIS Pro. (ArcMap equivalent of tool below) The User's have been testing ArcGIS Pro on Tablet devices and need this tool so map navigation can be achieved just using the pen/stylus input. The shortcut options for navigating the map scene are not appropriate or feasible when using the Tablet device. A lot of the user responses and feedback related to Zoom in tool for ArcGIS Pro (Zoom by drawing a box) are also valid for the need of the 'Zoom Out by Rectangle' tool Thanks in advance
