Yes, you can add the redirect metatag to your header <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0; url=https://cha2024-carver.hub.arcgis.com"> However, if you add this then you will not be able to use the Hub layout editor for that site as it will redirect. If you need to edit the site afterwards, you can remove this technically by editing the item data JSON in the ` headContent`. In the future, we will consider adding a more explicit option in the Site workspace settings.

There is no limit on the number of items. There are Hub site with 10k+ items. The Living Atlas is a single group. You also don't need to use the "Open Data enabled" flag anymore. That is only used for the Global Hub site at https://hub.arcgis.com I suspect there is a different issue of the Group sharing access + visibility, or the catalog configuration of your site. If you can share your Site URL - I can take a quick look. Otherwise, a support request would be able to dive in deeper.

@ChristaKemperman1 Following up on this post. In 2025, Hub updated how Pages are managed to make it easier for the workflow you mention. Hub Pages now work like any other content Item shared in a Hub catalog . To remove a page from a site, you just remove that page from one of the groups in the Hub catalog. Have you tried this new workflow?

Thank you for this suggestion. You can do this now in Hub through a different method using Meta tags. In the Site layout editor, in the sidebar for 'Settings', click on 'Meta Tags'. Then add this tag <meta name="robots" content="noindex"> Save and publish the layout. When search engines crawl the page, this tag will be added to the HTML and the site will be blocked from the indexers. You can see an example like on our Team's hub site https://dc.esri.com

ArcGIS Hub has added more resiliency to our infrastructure that distributes the application across multiple cloud regions. There was an issue with how a few of the application components code file were being served to client browsers. The effect was the browser didn't have the code needed to display search results or some other assets. Our operations team resolved the issue which made these components correctly encoded. We are investigating how to prevent this from occurring and also adding to our numerous "health checks" to ensure that the production app interaction works as expected in addition to our existing infrastructure + API health checks. We apologize for the brief outage. Best of luck at your event today!

Hi @EricKriener Thank you for sharing this. I confirm seeing the intermittent 404 on events. A first evaluation appears to be that events with the same name are inconsistent. For example, the "Santa's Rock N Lights". A quick fix could be to give these unique names like `Santa's Rock N Lights Nov 29`.
I'll share this with the appropriate development team to investigate and respond.

What is the ArcGIS Hub AI Assistant?
The ArcGIS Hub AI Assistant is a new capability that transforms how people interact with open data. This innovative tool harnesses the power of generative AI to make open data more accessible, understandable, and actionable for everyone. It's intended to help users find answers to their questions and limited to the curated open data sets available on your Hub sites.
The AI Assistant is currently in Beta testing to garner feedback.
How does it work?
The AI Assistant uses an Esri-managed large-language model (LLM) to translate user requests into geospatial queries and summaries using the open data shared through your ArcGIS Hub site. When a user poses a question, the AI Assistant analyzes it, searches through relevant dataset metadata and other items, and provides simple answers as text, table, and map. This process makes complex data more digestible and helps users quickly find the information they need.
Benefits of the ArcGIS Hub AI Assistant
Enhanced accessibility: By translating complex data into easy-to-understand responses, the AI Assistant makes open data accessible to a wider audience.
Improved understanding: Visual aids like maps and tables help users grasp information more quickly and effectively.
Actionable insights: The AI Assistant doesn't just provide raw data; it offers summarized information that can be used in decision-making processes.
Join our beta program
We're currently seeking Hub site owners to participate in our private beta program for the AI Assistant. As a beta tester, you will need to provide:
A public Hub site with public datasets and documents
Complete item metadata that the AI Assistant can use for responses

This is a great question - thanks for posting @NFlourish . It's not currently possible to have a link for opening the sidebar. We can add that, but foremost I'd like to gather more insight.
You note that the download functionality is "obtuse". Can you provide some additional details and recommendations for how the download functionality would be easier to use (besides just being visible). Are there similar great experiences that we should incorporate ideas from?

@lmarun I suggest contacting Esri Support for help with this issue. They can help diagnose if there is a setting that's incorrect or if there is an issue with the software. Depending if it's a software issue - the development team (myself, Klara, etc.) will have the technical details necessary to resolve the issue.
And when sharing images - it's necessary to provide the full browser window. If there is sensitive information then you can blur out that specific detail. Small image snippets don't provide enough information for Support or development teams to understand what is being observed as we need to see the browser URL, browser version, etc.

Hi @lmarun - sorry to hear that you're having a problem. My initial thought is there there is a Style setting which has the same color text as the background color. The next would be some custom CSS that is hiding or changing the header. If you can share the site URL then that would help us provide more specific guidance.
