Enable ArcGIS Hub sites to automatically generate a SpatioTemporal Asset Catalog (STAC) API endpoint based on their shared content, similar to the DCAT data.json. This would allow datasets shared through Hub to be discoverable and represented as STAC Items via a compliant STAC API, improving interoperability and data discovery.
STAC has rapidly become the de facto standard for indexing and discovering geospatial assets, particularly cloud-native formats like COGs, but also increasingly for vector data and other resources. Creating and maintaining a STAC API for data providers is currently challenging. Hub has the potential to make this super easy.
