Hi @AmirBar-Maor , thanks for your reply. I have also watched your videos from the Esri UC, very interesting. We dont stitch new parcels to existing. We enter new parcels from the latest information and decide to readjust the neighbouring parcels based on the observed error and their known accuracies. At this point we do not want to use the parcel fabric. We are just looking for an equivalent tool to load the sketch into the cogo editor.

Hi @AmirBar-Maor The most important part of checking the linework is before a polygon is created. You need to do a closed traverse of connections between survey marks and a closed traverse of the parcel. Some of our survey plans are in a different azimuth and coordinate system, so with ArcMap we can traverse them into a sketch as they appear, adjust for missclose, and then rotate the sketch to account for azimuth. Next we traverse the survey mark to parcel and ensure the traverse around the parcel closes correctly. When it does not, in ArcMap we can load the sketch into the Cogo tool and correct a mistake with a bearing or distance. (With ArcPro we cannot, because the trace tool runs over the underlying vertex of the original parcel or along the boundary of the neighbouring parcel.) After this closes we construct the polygon from the correct lines. We do not want to construct a polygon before the lines are correct. We are not using the fabric, as we have manually drawn a near survey accurate cadastre from one that was 5m wrong. We want to preserve straight lines and do not want stretching applied to our parcels like a fabric might permit. We do not currently have cogo attributes on the lines Thank you

@AmirBar-Maor we also use the Load traverse from sketch tool. It is a simple use case - not really a custom workflow. You traverse a series of survey lines from reference mark to parcel. Sometimes you make an error and you need to edit the data. In ArcMap this is entirely possible. Select the sketch, open cogo and load traverse from sketch. Using the trace tool in ArcPro is impractical as there are many overlapping and nearby lines which the trace tool inadvertently follows. This issue is keeping our editors in ArcMap.

Hi @Eric_Andersen do you mind sharing how? To a degree, I worked this out with the URL rewrite IIS module with a redirect at the portal site level so the */home/index.html will go to the ArcGIS for sites page. I havent been able to get the /home to go there though Do you mind sharing your method?

Thanks for the great session. I love the calculate fields based on the location. Can you make a location field answer a yes/no question and only show further questions in the survey if the answer was yes? E.g. ask for an Address/location. If the address is in your government area, question 2 says yes and therefore the person can complete questions 3 and so on. If it is not in your government area, question 2 says no and they cannot submit any further answers. I think this might be currently limited because while you can calculate a location into a dropdown, it doesn't support a default choice, and also no rule can be applied to choices in the designer.

Information lookup is an excellent app. Why is it retired? ALL apps should contain the ability to search using the Esri world geocoder, zoom in and bring back data from one of the operational layers in the the web map. Its great that it can bring back pop-ups from multiple layers, and they appear as they did in the web map viewer. It has a good error message when it doesn't find anything. Zone lookup is a 'similar' app but not complete. It has an annoying side bar. It does not zoom in to the address if it doesnt intersect anything from your address search. No-popup is opened. It has a bad habit of jumping off a polygon you are trying to select and instead clicking an empty area and then saying no result.

Hi @WQIDES , I actually found a better solution after the previous upgrade to ArcGIS online! From the my content tab in AGOL where you add an application (like normal), notice now it says you can add a link to an application on the web? I used this and entered our geocortex app url. It creates an item in AGOL which you can then add the item to the gallery card. Its a direct link, no more embedding in an experience. Check out the "planning controls viewer" in the top gallery on our site data.cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au NB - your other option of self editing of html for cards does work, but its a little complicated with the css styling and responsive design using twitter bootstrap. I've since abandoned it in favour of out of the box.

When you search for a data item on hubs, you return a list of item matches When you click an item you are taken to the explore page I think instead you should be taken to the about page, where you can see the thumbnail image, description and all the other cool things you can do with the data. You should include the API in the download button as an option. API is preferable to download - we'd like to know how many clicks we get and we'd like customers to stay up to date. Example - "Explore" https://data.cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au/datasets/the-city-of-sydney-local-government-area-2/explore is the current default. Would be better if it went to https://data.cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au/datasets/cityofsydney::the-city-of-sydney-local-government-area-2/about

Thats great! Thanks for posting back here. I just tried adding an application from an external link and that works too! Hub settings - interactions - embedded apps is off The advantage for us - your application in its own window which lets you collect Google Analytics stats

Thanks Justin Thinking about it more, I think the first data item page could be skipped entirely. Instead of having to click "view full details" it should just show them straight away. It's a nicer screen with the thumbnail and description and the overview map below

Hi Data Officer I had this question too and found your post. I thought of a solution - you can create an Experience using ArcGIS experience builder. Start with a fullpage blank template and add an embed widget. Make it full screen and specify the URL. You can add experiences to the gallery on your hub page and clicking them opens the experience and therefore the page within it. Takes about half a second longer to load but my geocortex app works as intended. Drawback or advantage depending on your stance is that the browser url shows as the experience URL and not the page URL you are intending to show.

Hi - your new datasets item pages look great. Love the details on the left and the map on the right. E.g. https://data.cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au/datasets/6e8360afd7f9499ab9425b2d17db730d_0/explore What I think is an oversight is that the service URL and the GeoJson url are not easy to find. The download button is clearly visible - but if someone uses this then it counts as 1 hit against our layer and they dont stay up to date with data changes. If they get the service url, then it counts every time our service is used in their application and they stay up to date. I think this is a huge advantage that ArcGIS has over other open data sites and should be the preference for people to use the data Thanks!
