So I had the same problem as @gs_meyer and eventually figured this one out. Generate your Surface in a Map view. Draw a profile using a line feature class Use the 'Interpolate Shape' tool to create a 3D feature by interpolating z-values from the surface Open attribute table of new 3D feature... (Oh no! There is no distance or elevation information!) Click 'View' > Convert > Local Scene In your Scene, add your surface model as a source for Ground. Select the 3D line feature for which you want to export X (Distance) and Y (Elevation) data Click 'Analysis' > Exploratory 3D Analysis > Elevation Profile Select 'Along a Line' then 'Apply' Watch the ArcGIS Pro magic happen In the new 'Elevation Profile' window, click 'Export Graph' in the top right corner and select preferred output (Image, Feature, Geodatabase Table or CSV Table). Reap the rewards! It is disappointing this simple process in ArcMap now involves several more steps in ArcGIS Pro. Goodluck everyone!

I recently discovered some of the issues were related to map viewers on Enterprise 10.9.1. When using ArcGIS Online I had better luck, but still a bit hit and miss with some queries. In my experience it seems different applications handle the filtering of WFS differently.

I have the same query. I can bring a WFS into ArcGIS, then apply a Definition Query to get the result I want. Alternatively when adding a WFS Server to ArcGIS Pro, I can add a custom parameter to the WFS using cql_filter and achieve the same result. When I try the same method in ArcGIS Map Viewers I am unable to achieve the same result. When I try QGIS, the 'Provider Feature Filter' appears to be SQL-based, and I can achieve the desired output, but I am unable to figure out how to convert between SQL and cql expressions.

The option to bulk enable or disable delete protection would be highly beneficial to all users. As an Administrator of an organizational ArcGIS Online subscription, it would be convenient to select multiple items and bulk apply the delete protection to content, particularly content which is shared with the organization or the public. This helps mitigate the risk of users accidentally deleting items and compromising operational items. For example, a public-facing web application could have 50 contributing items which may also require public-sharing enabled. If one of these items is accidentally deleted, it could compromise the operational web application. At the moment users are required to visit each item's details page, click on 'Settings' and turn on the checkbox. This is a cumbersome task, particularly when presented with hundreds of items which are not 'delete protected' by default. If there is enough support for this idea, consideration could also be given to bulk enabling/disabling 'Authoritative' and 'Deprecated' stamps. This functionality is probably most useful for Administrators in the first instance.

Solved! This can be achieved by publishing a service through a service definition file, as opposed to directly through ArcGIS Pro. I suspect ArcGIS Pro 2.X versions may be able to achieve this as well.

I have noticed it is possible to publish some services without any layers (i.e. no LayerIDs are discoverable). I am trying to publish a parent map service without any layers, because the child service will be created by enabling a server extension. Example here If the parent map service is configured to have no meaningful data (i.e. it serves as a 'dummy' service), this can seek to point users towards the child service. This is particularly useful if both services carry the same or similar names.

Hi all, I'm using ArcGIS Pro 3.0.2 to symbolize some climatology data which contains a magnitude and direction attribute. I am using the vector field to generate the symbology and am trying to understand how it is generated as I experience different results at different scales. Questions: 1. How can I enforce placement of the direction arrow at the centroid of my raster? When I zoom in and out, the arrow placement appears to change to different locations around the raster cell. 2. Why do the arrows sometimes appear, but other times not? 3. Does the projection influence the symbology? In the attached images, the vector points represent the centroid of my underlying raster. The 'Symbology 1.png' image is a smaller scale than 'Symbology 2.png' image. If you alternate between both images, notice the difference in placement of the vector field arrows. Why does this occur?

Is it possible to apply a mandatory acknowledgement of a web service's 'terms and conditions' (e.g. a caveat)? I understand it is possible to create a GUI in a web-app which the user must acknowledge before proceeding. Can something similar be applied at the web-service level? I want my users to understand a mandatory note must be applied to any products utilising the available web-service. I can write this into the terms and conditions on the Item Description page; however I need it in the user's face as many users will not read the terms and conditions in great detail.

Hi @BugPie I believe I queried the NoData pixels in ArcGIS Pro to identify what values they were. In my case they were 255 for all bands. Then in ArcCatalog I went to the properties of the image and edited the NoData pixels such that 255 was the value for all bands. I was then able to publish as an Image Service without issue. I did not click the compute button, but I have noticed when I do this I curiously receive 256 for all 4 bands.

I ended up right clicking on the raster in Catalog and going in to the properties to change the NoData values. Then republished and voila!

Hi all, I have published an orthomosaic as an Imagery Layer / Image Service. The NoData pixels (R 255, G 255, B 255) are displaying as white and surround the image in a rectangular fashion. Is it possible to make the NoData pixels transparent once the service has been published? Or can this configuration only be done inside of ArcGIS Pro prior to publishing? If it can only be done prior to publishing, what is the recommended workflow? Ideally, I do not wish to export a new raster if it can be helped.

Great work Jamal! Can't believe it took me 10 minutes to figure how to copy and paste between feature layers. It think it would be more intuitive if the 'Paste Special' was more conspicuous, or perhaps even renamed to 'Paste to another layer' or something along those lines.

I love this feature within ArcGIS Pro, however when I publish a feature service from my ArcGIS Pro project, the attribute driven symbology is not preserved on the feature service. It is when publishing a map service, however.
