Esri nees to add an 'inside' parameter to the centroid() function, for example, centroid($feature, 'inside'). This addition has the potential to save developers a lot of time tryting to code around the problem.

@JakeSimms1 is exactly what I want to do. However, it throws an error when I try saving it. The error states the expression for line 2 is invalid. It cannot preform the function on an empty geometry.

@JakeSimms1 This is the exact problem I am dealing with. The feature I am working with is a long curving railroad right-of-way. It is 60' wide and 2 miles long. I did try a negative buffer, however it did not move the point close to where it is needed. In this case, the features I am using for the within() are topologically identical. So a within() should work. Thanks for pointing out the syntax. I will switch the inputs and see what happens. My next test is to use intersect() with the negative buffer. If I am correct, I want to use the offset() function?

I am not sure this will work. I am using the values from one feature class to calculate values of another feature class. In this cause, the is a index feature class storing key values for the parcel layer. I use the attribute rule to pull a value from the index feature class. Then using that value calculate fields in the parcel layer. If I am understanding the linked documentation, it is just performing a check to see if the features are related.

I am using the within() function to query an underlying feature class. Then calculating fields based on the values pulled from the within(). If the feature is an odd shape it will return nothing or the wrong value. I am using this syntax, within( querylayer ,centroid($feature)). Sometimes the centroid is outside of the feature. In the image below, the within function is using the red point to query the 31E33AD polygon. I need the function to query the 31E33 polygon using the green point. If I remove the centroid function, within() returns nothing. Red is the centroid used by the within() function. My suggestion is to create a function that uses a center point within the selected feature. Or fix the centroid function to place the point within the feature.

I would like a layer showing where activate editing is occurring within a branch version feature class. I expect this version layer to show an extent box of all the features edited, the features modified, deleted, or added. I expect it to work similar to the topology feature class. This will help manage branch versions where created by mobile workers using Field Maps.

I am following this post. I have encountered a similar issue with features not displaying on a map. The data is not in a parcel fabric.

I am running in the same issue. I started having this today on a test parcel fabric. This issue started after I ran the applied a least squares adjustment to the fabric. These are the issues I am dealing with now. Cannot build a record because of the Z-value issue dangling nodes on curves. Creeping lines points no longer on end line endpoints. Lines collapsed to 0 geometries. I am going to probably put this in ideas. Do not allow the use the LSA when the topology is turned off.

I am working with the SharePoint Administrator for Clackamas County. We are using the government tenant for SharePoint and Office 365. We are encountering an issue with installing the ArcGIS app. We a experiencing an error message that reads "Sorry, this app is not supported on your server". The SharePoint Admin is able to install the ArcGIS Maps addin on a non government tenant SharePoint. Any ideas of when the government tenant will allow the ArcGIS Maps app?

I have linked the polygons to a parcel type. Since I am not currently maintaining COGO attributes, I am using the "Build Parcels from Polygons" method to migrate to the parcel fabric. Will review the documentation, it looks like I need to create the Record polygons before I build the fabric for the missing lines and points. Am I reading this correctly?

I finally got the build to work. I manually copied a record GUID into the line features. Now, I have issues with how this works and the amount of work it will add to a basic edit. Based on what I am reading in the help documentation, I might as well create a record for every edit. If I am making a correction along a plat boundary I will need to build each plan separately. I am going to search the ideas to see if someone has suggested allowing parcels being build without a record.

I am shirking the parcel and not editing the lines. Then trying the build. That eliminates option one as the issues. According to the demos and documentation, I do not need a plan to edit a parcel. So if number 2 is the issue then there is a bug. I did test selecting the lines and associated with the record and the parcel will still not build.

I am having issues with building parcel after editing the boundaries. Here are the steps I am using to edit. Select the parcels I want to edit. Click the "Shrink to Seed" tool. Edit the lines. Click the Build parcels tool. The parcels do not build. What am I missing?

Migrating polygons into the parcel fabric is not hard. That is the method I use. I have successfully migrated the parcels I maintain several times. What steps are you taking to migrate the data?
