I would really like to have this ability as well! I would also like to choose which accessibility tag is applied to each element. I would like to tag certain elements as Headings, as Captions, and so on. That would be really nice. I have exported a map layout to PDF, and opened the reading order in Acrobat, and noticed that the reading order seems to be in reverse order from the Contents pane-- that is, the bottom item in my contents pane is the first in the reading order. Is that the intended way this works, @AubriOtis ?

Ah, ok. I expected the Sort option to be independent of the "Field" that is displayed. My field expression in this case is just a concatenation of my "delimiterBefore" (usually but not always a new line) and my "legendText" attributes. I this case I may be able to restructure my table rows to use the delimiter in this dialogue instead. I do think it's pretty confusing for the default sort order to be based on the GlobalID, which changes every time a row is edited.

I had created a "Short" (integer) type field called "LegendOrder" to use for this purpose, but it doesn't appear in the sort dropdown. None of my twelve text fields appear in the Sort dropdown either.

@AubriOtis is there a limit on what type of field can be used to Sort? My dialog is not offering any field names in that dropdown. Also, it's worth noting that when using an SDE, the order seems to be based on GlobalID, and that is constantly changing as data gets updated... so the order of items in my dynamic text is now changing all the time. I think this is an okay work-around... the general workflow is: Create a duplicate of the layer, redirect one source, then apply symbology from layer to transfer the symbology settings.

I would like to be able to change the Field being used in my Unique Values symbology, without ArcPro re-setting all of the symbols. I actually have two fields with identical data values, and want to switch from one to the other for my symbology. For instance, if I had accidentally misspelled my field name as "MapUnti" when I really wanted "MapUnit"--- then I created a new field with the proper name, and copied all of the values. My layer symbology is set up for only one possible value in that field, not all of them. I would like to be able to: 1. change the Field 1 dropdown 2. ArcPro tries to apply the same symbol to the new field, and if it find a matching value, it keeps my symbol settings. Instead of doing this, when I change the "Field 1" dropdown on the Symbology panel, ArcPro re-writes the entire list of symbols, adding all possible values, with new colors. I have to save all the symbols to a style file or write the RGB down, because that's the only way I can get back to my original color. I have to remove all the other values in the list to get back to my one-value-only symbol setting. I have also tried using the Match Layer Symbology to a Style tool, which does accomplish changing the field, but it expands the list to all symbols for all values in the field, instead of the single one I had configured. Also, my Project Styles take a long time to load in Gallery, but there is no indication that the program is still working on loading those. Anyone know of any work-arounds ? Or a setting for "apply symbology to the new field if possible"

Yes, I'm comfortable using formatting tags. I have tried the CLR tag before, but without success; that may be because I tried only black. Following your example, I am able to use the CLR tag inside of the LINK tag to change to red="230" green="0" blue="0" or any other color where one of the three numbers is greater than zero. When I use red="0" green="0" blue="0" (trying to get the text to turn black), it has no effect and the text remains blue. With a bit more poking around, I found that if I define the color in CMYK instead of in RGB, I can use <CLR black="100"> and that seems to work okay. Thank you for your help.

In my map layout, I have a large block of dynamic text containing a list of sources, with their DOI hyperlinks. The urls are placed within <LINK> tags to facilitate accessibility tagging. However, the text within the LINK tag is blue and I am not able to change it to any other color. Here's an example of a section of my dynamic text: </FNT>Syverson, K.M., and Colgan, P.M., 2011, The Quaternary of Wisconsin: an updated review of stratigraphy, glacial history and landforms, <FNT style="Italic">in</FNT> Ehlers, J., Gibbard, P.L., and Hughes, P.D., eds., Quaternary Glaciations — Extent and Chronology: a closer look: Amsterdam, Elsevier, Developments in Quaternary Science, v. 15, p. 537–552, <LINK url="https://doi.org/10.1016/B978-0-444-53447-7.00042-8">https://doi.org/10.1016/B978-0-444-53447-7.00042-8</LINK>.</FNT> I have ArcGIS Pro 3.3.2

Thanks for considering this idea! I would like to use this because I have several distinct natural features for which all of the available legend shape options seem too "robotic" ... the parabolic swoops of dune crests, sinuous eskers, and scalloped scarp exposures.

I found that Media Maps allows both hover popups and feature layers; however, the popup is not a simple, tiny popup like the Express Maps popups are. I prefer the simple popup that doesn't have extra buttons and text and tons of whitespace. Compare the media map hover popup: Versus the express map hover popup:

@OwenGeo I would like to use "hover" popups on a map showing several rivers. I have the rivers highlighted in a bold color in a line feature layer. I want the user to mouse over a point marker to see the river name, and have the feature layer of lines visible in the background. I have not been able to find a way, since Express Maps don't allow a feature layer to show in the background. I hope that helps to clarify why Express Maps don't quite work for me, and why it would be useful to allow hover popups in web maps or to allow a feature layer to be visible in the background of an Express Map. Thanks for considering.

I really like how the Express Maps points have a simple, tiny popup that appears on mouse-over. However, Express Maps don't allow me to use a feature layer in the map (even to display it, without interaction). I would like to have markers with mouse-over popups on the same web map as a feature layer with some lines. -- all within a Storymap block. Is there a way?

I would really prefer to use a SQL Query instead of having to do one at a time. I have a river section defined by reachcode instead gnis_id, and there are 71 of those. Ridiculous to have to enter each as a separate filter.
