Hi all, I am trying find a workaround for a VRP application. I am routing a fleet of tree planting trucks. Our general rule is that we have a maximum of 5 houses serviced, totaling 10 trees across all 5 stops. But if we do 4 stops, we can plant 11 or 12 trees, 3 stops 13 trees, and so on. Is there any way to communicate this to the network analyst?

I'm having trouble creating new related records using Collector for a feature class and table I've published. I published a feature class with a related table last week and was able to add related records in collector, but now that has stopped working and I can't figure out why. I set up a relationship class (1:M) between my point layer and table using GlobalIDs and a GUID field according to these instructions. When I open the map in collector, the feature class looks fine and can be edited, but when I tap the icon for related records, I don't see an option to create a new record anymore! Here's what I see: Has anyone experience this? Thanks!

I am using the Edit widget in the Foldable theme to allow users to create and edit points a hosted point layer (Layer A). We are having intermittent issues where a point that is editable is clicked and turns red, allowing users to edit attributes but NOT geometry. In another layer (Layer B), the points turn into transparent blue circles that can be dragged around. We discovered that when a user opens the Batch Attribute Editor and selects a point, then opens the standard Editor widget, clicking the same point that was highlighted with Batch Attribute Editor results in the point turning transparent blue, allowing geometry updates. Has anyone experience this or found a workaround? All layers in the application allow editing and have been previously editable using the standard Edit widget without issue before. Pictures attached below for the scenarios I described. Thank you!

I don't believe any of the limitations have been hit, I'm trying to route 50 points with 7 vehicles across a small area.

Hi all, I've used Plan Routes without issue before, but now I am receiving error messages that the tool has failed with and without explanation. The tool is still consuming credits whether it generates an output or not. When the tool gives an explanation, it says fewer than my specified number of vehicles were able to complete the routes, leaving some points unassigned (normal, I'm fine with that). The last sentence then says "Plan Routes failed", and there is an empty feature layer created. Has anyone found a work around for this issue?

Hi @Anonymous User, ended up being an easy fix-- there weren't any points in the map extent! Unchecked then box and things worked swimmingly.

Hello! I'm attempting to use the Plan Routes analysis tool in ArcGIS Online, but getting an error after I set my start point. A warning pops up next to my analysis layer stating "this tool requires at least 1 feature(s) to compute results." (image below) I find this odd because the tool recognizes the number of rows in the feature layer, and it displays fine on the map as well as in the attribute table. I have tried exporting the shapefile and publishing as a feature class again but that doesn't seem to fix the problem. Has anyone experienced a similar problem?

I'm working on developing a custom print service for my urban forester team. We have designed a layout to be published as a print service for them to create maps on their own that have our branding and other important info. What I would like is to include an attribute table that is included as a second page with this print service, with the rows corresponding to the features that are in the visible extent of the map. I've played with the screening widget, but the inability to sort rows in the output is a bit of a roadblock. I'm drafting my layouts and publishing services on ArcMap 10.8 and I have been following this tutorial. @TanuHoque your videos have also been very helpful!

I am trying to write an arcade expression for the "Set Transparency from Attribute Values" option in AGOL. MY goal is to evaluate if a date field is empty and set a 50% transparency value if the field is NOT empty. So the value in the field is not important, only if it is empty or not. I have tried using an Iif/IsEmpty statement like this to create integer values that the transparency can be set from, but this doesn't seem to be working. IIF(IsEmpty($feature.TrunkProtect), "0", "1") I would also like to only apply this expression to points that have a creation year of 2017, which is tracked in a separate field.

Hi Xander Bakker, Currently we have a field "Last_Water" which represents the most recent date a tree was watered. We currently have five empty date fields for field staff to enter subsequent water dates. We also have a condition field "Mntc_Condn" that evaluates if a tree is dead, in which case it is excluded from the watering efforts. The last part of the above phrase, "plt_year", communicates which trees are prioritized for watering based on what year they were planted. The workflow we had come up with was to update "Last_Water" and a second date field according to how many times a tree has been visited. So if the tree has been watered once, it will have the same date entered in "Last_Water" and "Water_1." Upon the second time a tree is watered, the field staff will update "Last_Water" to the current date, and update the field "Water_2" with the current date as well, leaving Water_1 unchanged with the first water date. In this way we have Last_Water communicating the most recent water with fields Water_1, Water_2, ...Water_n tracking the watering history. We are over halfway through our watering season, so updating the feature layer to work with a related table isn't really worth our time at this point in the season.

Hi Xander Bakker, We decided not to go with a related table due to the fact that we don't want to publish our existing data again. We've created a new field for each edit date. I'm currently symbolizing the feature layer by edit date using a DateDiff + IfElse expression: var first_water_date = $feature["Last_Water"];
var first_days_dif = DateDiff(Now(), first_water_date, "days");
var result = "water status";
if (DomainName($feature,"Mntc_Condn") == "Dead") {
return "Dead"
}
else if (first_days_dif <= 14) {
result = "Watered";
} else { (first_days_dif > 14)
result = "Needs Water" + $feature["plt_year"];
}
return result; Now that we will be updating a new field each time, I'm trying to update the expression to evaluate the most recent date field edited. A rudimentary solution I can think of would be to assign each new date field a variable and repeat the If else format I have above, but I feel like there is a way to create a shorter nested expression of some type. Could you provide any insight here?

Thank you, Xander Bakker. How would I go about populating that table with edit info? I wouldn't necessarily need to visualize it, I would probably choose to display it in a popup or a dashboard for our operations coordinator.

Hi Xander, Thank you for responding! I have about 9,000 points each corresponding to a tree my organization has planted. Five teams of fieldworkers water the trees every two weeks on a rotating schedule, and almost all trees are visited more than once. I'm trying to track how many times each tree is visited without incorporating a new field for each visit, but as of now that seems like the best option.
