For me the datasets could come from multiple sources. Not just a single database. Some may come from local geodatabases. Some might come from online hosted feature services. It would be good to have flexibility to use any source and not just restrict to those layers with the same source.

I'd love this as an additional option for taking photos. Similar to how it is available in Survey123. Not default but available by adjusting the settings

@TanuHoque the workflows I have in mind are similar to @RTPL_AU. A whole bunch of figures which need updating because a project boundary has now changed. We already have python scripts that work through folders and aprx and export all the figures. It would be amazing if any spatial definition queries are also updated based on current boundaries. No need to open the APRX at all. Another workflow would be for intersect counting. The project boundary may stay the same but the national designations might have been updated (e.g. historic listed buildings) and we could set up dynamic spatial definition queries to easily get an output of how many and which ones are in the project boundary. I know we could just so select by attribute etc but the ability to do this via dynamic definition queries adds another option, especially to those in the team that aren't as experienced in Python scripting. I understand the points that a dynamic set up might be more intensive and as such might be best served with an option to turn ON dynamic updates. So the user can select if that is what is needed for their specific project. Maybe even limit the dynamic updates to only when the APRX is opened rather than continually checking for changes if that causes issues.

The inclusion of spatial based definition queries to 3.5 is great. My immediate thought was to check if they were dynamic, i.e. if my polygon extent changes does my definition query update accordingly. The answer is no. It sticks with the original geometry unless you go back in and reapply the query. I think there should be an option to allow this to be dynamic (it would be for attributes). I might be using a polygon I don't control / have ownership of and don't know if it has changed. My queried data would be out of data in that case. (see my picture example below. Blue points are in the definition query. I updated the polygon extent but the blue points are not changed). Red points not captured when polygon extended. Blue points are part of definition query

I have since discovered there is a Report based on Item View Counts that might be useful to some. https://doc.arcgis.com/en/arcgis-online/reference/report-fields.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_F21C351D72674DC497654511FAA5E9F0

I work with Web Maps which can contain a large amount of layers in them for various different teams. It would be incredibly useful to have a mechanism either within the map or feature service which indicates the last time the service was accessed (e.g. when it was last switch on in a web map). We can then look to remove layers that aren't used often and potentially remove the service to reduce storage requirements. This might be a difficult thing to achieve but if you don't ask you don't get I suppose!

I just wanted to say this answer fixed all my problems! I just couldn't work out why a bunch of toolboxes I'd made were not working on a schedule and the issue was I originally ran them through a blank aprx which I then didn't save. I now have an aprx that is named 'For Scheduling' for any future times where I need to schedule a geoprocessing service.

When working in a web map with multiple groups and sub-groups the list of groups shown in the 'move' option should match that in the web map. Currently it appears random / in the order they were created it, not the order shown in the map. This means it can be difficult to find the group you need.

I'm trying to use Tracker within Field Maps. I've gotten it to work for a mobile worker account but the option to turn tracking on does not appear in my Creator (full admin) account for Field Maps. I can add my account to the Track Viewer to create tracks but it doesn't appear in Field maps. I see in licenses Tracker is part of the Mobile Worker type but not Creator. I would assume a Creator would have everything a Mobile Worker has plus additional elements. Does this mean Creators can't use Tracker in Field Maps or am I just missing something?

Interesting idea of using the Wacom to navigate. I’d only ever thought of it in the literal drawing (digitising) sense but will try using it as an alternative to the mouse now! Thanks!

The reporting option for Survey123 is fantastic. I'd love to see something similar for Field Maps where users can create reports for the data they have collected. The best thing about the Survey123 reports is I can set them up and non-GIS users can create the reports in the page. They don't need to open any desktop software.

Hi Angela. I have to admit I don't actually use the WACOM for much digitising at the moment. Not the tablets fault, just not the kind of work I've been doing recently. From previous experience there is a little bit of adjusting the WACOM settings to get it work best for you. If the device you get has buttons on the pen (mine did) or tablet these can be set to something specific in Pro. I had mine set to pan around and zoom in/out by holding them which was really useful. Enjoy!

Thanks. It definitely was correct. I've tried again on the local geodatabase and it still doesn't work. I will try your method above. I also have a copy on ArcGIS server for use with Field Maps (the intended use anyway) and it works fine through that so I'm not entirely sure the issue but it works for what I need and your script is very clear for future use. Many thanks again

I am attempting to get an attribute from a parent feature class into a child table using attribute rules. I used this question as a basic. This issue that I have is that the filter does not work because the expression is not finding a value in my parent GUID which is populated by the relationship from the feature class. Even this code does not work var gid = $feature.parent_guid return gid Every other field in the table returns something. Just not the parent ID (the foreign key in the relationship). This is true if it is a true GUID or just some text (e.g. A) Any help would be most appreciated. I am using Pro 2.9.1. It also did not work on 2.8
