Hi everybody, I had exactly the same problem as reported above and could also fix it by the solution @Suleyman-Arslan pointed out and @JeffSmith gave the hint to. Thank you! Best wishes Christian

Hi together, although I am continuing a thread that is almost 2 months old, I'll try to offer a solution. I just had the same problem in my freshly upgraded ArcGIS 11.1 Enterprise Portal when trying to publish a scene layer package. I could manage to solve the problem by following Russ Robert's advice to add the datastore machine to the trusted sites on the hosting server machine: https://community.esri.com/t5/3d-questions/publish-scene-fails-error-001887-failed-to-create/m-p/478392/highlight/true#M2908 Best wishes Christian

Hi Matthew, how did you solve this problem finally? What was the solution the technical support came up with? I am facing a similar issue with an oauth-loop for logins to StoryMaps in Portal 10.9.1. Maybe I could get a hint from your solution. Best wishes Christian

Hi Andrea, sad to read that you ran into the same problem. Esri support told me to set up a parallel system, to install 10.6 from fresh there, to backup the original 10.6 enterprise deployment with WebGIS DR and to re-import it to the parallel system also with this tool and then to run the 10.8 upgrade. As this means for me to create up to 5 new virtual servers and to reinstall the system, I've postponed this task into summer 2020 when there is hopefully more time for me to accomplish this. Good luck in solving this problem! Best wishes Christian

Hi Philippe, in the end, this workaround didn't help me because it brought the system (content) back to the state of 2018 when I had 10.6 installed. So I also suggest to open a case. That's what I will also do in the end but not right now because of time reasons. Good luck Christian

Ali, this did the magic also for me! Thank you very much for your help. I wonder now if something is missing in the portal because we copied the 10.6 content...? What did you do with the "_old"-folders? Best wishes Christian

Did you ever manage to solve this problem? It seems that I am running into the same issue while upgrading from 10.6.1 to 10.8. This had happend also when trying to upgrade from 10.6.1 to 10.7.1 but finally I sticked to 10.6.1 and hoped it would be better with 10.8... Christian

On behalf of my colleague who has technical problems to access this forum I would like to ask: Using the ArcGIS 10.5 Spatial Statistics Tool Hot Spot Analysis (Getis-Ord Gi*) with a data set for agricultural indicators based on 16,000 europaen community areas (polygons) I got Hot and Cold Spots which shows me a certain geographical pattern. To be a statistically significant hot spot, an area have a high value and is surrounded by other areas with high values as well and vice versa for the Cold Spots. But in some cases I got isolated areas which are statistically significant but they are not surrounded by other statistically significant areas with high or low values. What could be the reason for that? Christian

There should be a possibility to limit offline use for a period of time or to restrict it even. I work at a university and we want to restrict students to take licenses offline. We work with Portal for ArcGIS and host the licenses ourselves, but the same applies to AGOL, I think. We have to manage 100 ArcGIS Pro licenses for a lot more students, so we want to limit or better restrict the offline use. Students are tempted to take it offline at home or on their laptops and then come to the university lab and ask themselves (or me) why they cannot work at the university’s computers and are then unproductive that day unless they return home and check in that license to the Portal. If they check out that license at the university and forget at which machine they sat (there are many computer pools and machines) it gets even more complicated because by default the workstation alias in ArcGIS Pro is named sth. like "ArcGISPro_123" and with this information you cannot relocate the machine where the license is locked. (To solve this we now created a group policy that changes the SessionName entry in the computer's registry to the computer name).

I found it out by myself. The problem was that I used the database system time as timestamp. Once I changed it to UTC it worked. Christian

Hi all, I am using the GeoeventProcessor's feature updater output to add new features to a server layer. This works all fine. However, I want to delete "old" features (older than one minute) regularly. There is an option (advanced) for setting the "Maximum Feature Age (Minutes)". I have set this to 1, but the features in my database get deleted if they are older than one hour only. Is this a bug? Or what am I doing wrong? The database uses the database system time (CET) for the timestamp. Hope you can help, thanks, Christian
