Thanks everyone. I ended up writing a simple parser for the geometry and it looks like it's working.

Hello, How do I display SQL Geography in ESRI JS? My API returns a geography I inserted into SQL from a tutorial I found. "Shape": { "Geography": { "CoordinateSystemId": 4326, "WellKnownText": "POLYGON ((-122.358 47.653, -122.348 47.649, -122.348 47.658, -122.358 47.658, -122.358 47.653))", "WellKnownBinary": null } } I can write a parser for this and get it to show but it seems like it's a lot of work. I was wondering if anyone has done this before and has any tips? Thanks,

Hi Dallas, How did you style the legend in the template? I am able to send the layers into my custom print template but it looks horrendous. The legend is very big and I can only make it 1 column wide. Do you have any ideas how I can make the legend inside my print template 2 or 3 columns? Thank you, Alexei

In the Contents, make sure you have the first button selected, I believe it's List by Drawing Order.

It appears I have solved it! The issue was the proxy. I had established a proxy on my live site which I was using from my development machine. This works well if I access the site from the live URL. But if I used the proxy from my local machine using IE9 I was getting that error. I resolved the problem by copying the proxy to my local IIS on my machine and set a relative proxy URL vs the absolute I had before in my code.

Hello, I am trying to execute a query from a custom widget that I wrote. Code:
var qt = new QueryTask('http://[url]/MapServer/0');
var q = new Query();
q.spatialRelationship = esri.tasks.Query.SPATIAL_REL_INTERSECTS;
q.outSpatialReference = { wkid: 102100 };
q.returnGeometry = true;
q.outFields = ["*"];
q.geometry = this.geometry; // I know this is a polygon
qt.execute(q, function(resultList) { /* do stuff here */ }, function(err){ /* catch error */});
If I run this code from a widget using IE 9, I get an Access Is Denied error in /* catch error */. If I run this code from outside the widget in IE9 it seems to work fine. If I run this code from IE 11 or Firefox, it works regardless of whether or not it is in a dijit widget. My proxies are in place and everything seems to be ok on that side. Has anyone experienced this behavior before? Any tips are appreciated. Thanks.

Hello, I recently implemented HTTPS on my whole site and converted my ArcGIS Server to HTTPS Only. Having solved a few problems, I am now able to see my secured services on my map. My secured services include dynamic services and feature services which I use for map tips. A new problem I found however is using the applyEdits function on a feature layer. When I am in IE 9 and try to use applyEdits it says Access Is Denied even though the exact same approach worked for non-HTTPS. If my url was http://a.b.com/arcgis/.../FeatureServer/1 I was able to use applyEdits Now that my url is https://a.b.com:6443/arcgis/.../FeatureServer/1 my applyEdits throws an Access Is Denied error. I should note that I create a new feature layer on the fly which I use for applyEdits but I do wait for its on('load') event to fire before I do anything with it. I modified the proxy and I said before, I am able to get the feature layers when they are initially being loaded for map tips functionality. I inspected my call to the server when I run applyEdits and I see that https://a.b.com:6443/arcgis/.../FeatureServer/1 is going through a proxy. Any suggestions or ideas on the new issue? Thank you.

Hi Ben, I am trying to do the secured print and have done exactly as they have indicated on the link you have provided. My scenario is pretty straight forward. I create a map accessing secured serviced via a proxy. When I want to print I am using the esri/dijit/Print widget to which I assign my map and the URL of my secured print service which I have published. After I call it, nothing happens and no map is printed. My only success with printing secured services was by creating a new map into which I load the main map's layers but I needed to append a short lived token to them. Thank you.

Hi Gopi, Try the following: var myLayer = new esri.layers.ArcGISDynamicMapServiceLayer("http://1.2.3.4/arcgis/rest/services/MyServices/TestService/MapServer", { id: "myTestService", outFields: ["*"], visible: true }); myMap.addLayer(myLayer); require(["esri/urlUtils"], function (urlUtils) { var myRule1 = urlUtils.addProxyRule({ proxyUrl: "http://1.2.3.4/myMapProxy/proxy.ashx", // location of the proxy urlPrefix: "http://4.5.6.7/arcgis/rest/services/" // everything in your map that starts with this will be proxied }); }); Hope this helps, Alexei

I don't know if you had success with this, but were you able to have the legend appear in more than 1 column inside your print template? I have my map being printed to the custom template I made and the legend is also appearing but the problem is that it appears as 1 column and goes behind the map. I'd like to make it a 2 or 3 column legend so it spreads width-wise. Thanks, Alexei
