Elle, You enable the Enterprise GDB from your local PC's ArcGIS Desktop but the ArcGIS Enterprise is deployed in Azure correct? Otherwise the latency between the Azure SQL Database and your base deployment would be to great for production.

I get that it works with a stand alone ArcGIS Server site, my issue is that I would like to have my enterprise geodatabase register with ArcGIS Enterprise base installation in order to serve the featureclasses in my portal with out having to incur extra charges in Azure and Licensing for an additional ArcGIS Server site. I manage to created the Azure SQL Database and enable geodatabase using Azure Portal and ArcGIS Desktop. I also manage to register it with my Enterprise base deployment using ArcGIS Desktop the same as if I was doing it on premise. But as you pointed out this is not supported. Would this be supported? Created the geodatabase using cloud builder in a dummy ArcGIS Server site Dropping my dummy ArcGIS Server site Manually registering the geodabase with my ArcGIS Enterprise base deployment

I have setup an ArcGIS Enterprise base deployment (Portal, Federated AGS, Data Store) using ArcGIS Enterpise Cloud Builder 10.5.1 for MS Azure. The option to register a geodatabase with my site is disable I figure its only meant to be use with a standalone ArcGIS Server site. Is it posible or supported to create a geodatabase enable Azure SQL Database and register it with my Base deployment ArcGIS Server? If so, how? Is this a standalone layer or part of a relationshipclass, has attachments, participantes in topology, geometric network or archiving? Are you using OS or Database Authentication for your service? Can you post a screen capture of the Feature Class general properties? I'm happy to continue to help but you should contact tecnical support, this might be a known issue. In the meantime try an SDEINTERCEPT and a SQL trace of the feature service apply edit.

What version of ArcGIS Server are you using? What DBMS and version are you using. What geodatabase version are you using? Try the fallowing: Start an edit session in ArcMap using the same mxd document that was use to publish the service. Take note of the database connection that the MXD is using (user account and geodatabase version). Edit a record similar to what your users are doing in the web application. Save your edits. If step 2 runs successful republish the service with a new name. In ArcGIS Server Manager take note of the Workspace that your new service is using and compare it with the original service. Try to edit using the new service. Post the screen captures of the Workspaces of your services and let me know how it goes.

Callum, This feature is meant to be leverage by developers in custom apps. If "Support Rollback On Failure" = True then as a developer you can toggle the "rollbackOnFailure" True or False when applying edits, the default is always True no matter what the "Support Rollback On Failure" setting says. So by default if any edit fails the entire transaction rolls back. If it wasn't like that then you could loose the uncommitted edits leaving your database in an inconsistent state. This is not the cause of your users not been able to update or delete features, that it is most like cause by data permission and table locks. You should check the ArcGIS Server logs for errors. Try this tool to query the GIS Server logs: System Log Parser

Can't share my survey with anyone. Collaborate tab gives me an error. I created two surveys from the same hosted feature service using submition url. The surveys work and I'm able to use them as the owner of both the Survey forms and hosted feature layer. I'm not able to share the surveys with anyone in my organization. The Surevey123 website does not load the Collaborate tab.

I've added a body::esri:inputMask to a decimal type pH value in my form using the documented sample "B9.99;-" The field should be optional but adding the mask makes it a require since the form never validates when the value is left empty. In addition to this the pH value has a relevant constraint where it only shows up given a specific condition so even when the attribute is not visible the survey123 returns an invalid warning. Also tried adding a default value of 0 but continued to get the same error. Any idea as how to solve this?

This value value is define by the layerers that the service references. It has to do with the type of editing environment supported by the layer (version, non-version). ArcGIS REST API rollbackOnFailure //This option was added at 10.1. Description: Optional parameter to specify if the edits should be applied only if all submitted edits succeed. If false, the server will apply the edits that succeed even if some of the submitted edits fail. If true, the server will apply the edits only if all edits succeed. The default value is true. Not all data supports setting this parameter. Query the supportsRollbackonFailureParameter property of the layer to determine whether or not a layer supports setting this parameter. If supportsRollbackOnFailureParameter = false for a layer, then when editing this layer, rollbackOnFailure will always be true, regardless of how the parameter is set. However, ifsupportsRollbackonFailureParameter = true, this means the rollbackOnFailure parameter value will be honored on edit operations. Values: true|false Example: rollbackOnFailure=true

Russ Coffey , Would enabling Single Sign-On using AD Federation Services avoid the dual (AGOL, AGServer) signup to capture editor tracking usernames? Is this setup documented anywhere? I know how to configure both ArcGIS Server and AGOL Security but don't know any configuration that would allow SAML Single Sign-On AGOL to authenticate with the same login on ArcGIS Server so that the user doesn't get prompted a second time when accessing the secure ArcGIS Server service. I've been looking to solve this for sometime now. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Hi, I would like to know what are the ArcGIS for Server Log Codes that I should query to report on Max Usage Timeout Exceded Max Wait Time Exceded Idle Instance Timeout I've been reading all the codes http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/main/10.1/index.html#/Core_server_log_codes/0154000003sr000000/ and so far only identified the first timeout code that I'm interested in: 8250 - "Processing request took longer than the timeout."

I've tried to set up various filter options using "relative to current time" on my Location Tracking feature service in a Dashbord but the query always fails. I trace the service call that is been generated by the dashbord using fiddler and see that dash bords is sending ({0}) in the where clouse. If I change the filter to use Absolute date then the where clause is: (EditDate >= '2013-07-23 23:00:00'). Any idea of what could be happening?
