Hey Mark Daker, I apologize about the late response however this behavior sounds strange. I would recommend contacting Esri Support Services to see if an analyst can reproduce the behavior! I checked to see if there were any known defects regarding this behavior but was unable to find any. Cheers, Joe

Hi Karen Startup, I'm curious to know if you've tried the Analysis > Extract Data Widget? If you're creating a Buffer, that should create a separate layer for you. Afterwards, you can open the Extract Data section, specify a layer and then output to a CSV? Analysis widget—Portal for ArcGIS | Documentation for ArcGIS Enterprise Looking forward to your response! Hi Hasheen DeBerry, I was looking for information regarding this error message and found some information: What's New in 10.8: What's new in the ArcGIS REST API—ArcGIS REST API: Services Directory | ArcGIS for Developers "The following updates apply to hosted feature services on relational data sources: The Query Attachments operation is now supported on feature service layers." Looking through some Support tickets, I can see others encountered this exact error message while at version 10.7.1. Upgrading to 10.8 resolved the issue, the error message stopped appearing and the functionality works as expected. Hope this helps! Joe

Monica Beaton, Thanks for the response! It's my understanding that the only apps loaded (by default) on the App Launcher are those that are accessible via the browser. Collector, Survey123 (Survey123 Connect, Survey123 for ArcGIS), ArcGIS Maps for Office and ArcGIS Maps for Sharepoint are all applications which are downloaded onto machines. With that being said, I know it's possible to add Survey123 for ArcGIS (the website) to the App Launcher, as I've done that before. Most of the applications within "Essential Apps Bundle" are accessible directly within Portal for ArcGIS. If you'd like to add Survey123 for ArcGIS to your App Launcher, here is how you can do so: Navigate to your Portal Content > Add Item > An Application. Type: Web Mapping, Purpose: Ready To Use, API: JavaScript, URL: https://survey123.arcgis.com/?portalUrl=https://machine.domain.com/webadaptorname, Title: Survey123 for ArcGIS, Tags: Survey123. Add Item. Once the Item is created, copy the URL at the top -- https://machine.domain.com/webadaptor/home/item.html?id=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Select the Organization Tab > Settings > General > App Launcher (at the bottom) > Add App. Select "App Item URL" and paste the URL copied previously > Next. Ensure the App Label is set to Survey123 for ArcGIS, or however you'd like this to appear in the App Launcher > Next. Open a new browser tab, search for Survey123 for ArcGIS and go to the images. Save a picture of the Survey123 logo. Go back to your Portal tab, select Add your Icon. Browse to your newly downloaded photo > Done. Save your changes in Portal Settings and check the App Launcher to see if it works. Let me know if I'm able to help in any other way. Joe

Hi Monica, I wanted to provide this bit of information here: Manage apps in the app launcher—Portal for ArcGIS (10.8) When you license apps in your organization, some of those apps automatically show up in the app launcher for users to whom you've assigned licenses. In the current software release, ArcGIS Business Analyst, GeoPlanner for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Enterprise Sites, Operations Dashboard for ArcGIS, and ArcGIS Insights appear in the app launcher for users who are licensed to access these apps. What are the names of the additional applications you're interested in adding to the App Launcher? - Joe

Hello Jessica Schneider, Out of the box, I don't believe it's possible to create callout labels in Portal for ArcGIS Web Maps. With that being said, it looks like it's possible with some coding knowledge. Here (Using callout lines with labels | ArcGIS API for JavaScript 4.14 ) is the documentation regarding this functionality and here (Using callout lines with labels - 4.14 ) is a live example. Best of luck, Joe

Hi David Hoy, I looked back into this issue and here is what I was able to find: This issue is due to a bug in Chrome. It appears to be resolved in their release of Chrome Canary (v74.0.3728.0). This bug has been resolved in ArcGIS Online, but is still present with ArcGIS Enterprise at versions below 10.7.1. If this issue is being encountered in Enterprise, there is a different bug that's marked as In Product Plan To answer your question, I don't think there was ever a patch that came out on our side. The updated Chrome release seemed to resolve the issue for ArcGIS Online however this issue is still persisting in Enterprise 10.7.1 or earlier. Feel free to DM me if you have any additional questions. Joe

Good Morning! Here is a link to the documentation (Join an existing site), hopefully this can shed some light on your question. As the documentation states, "The Join Site operation adds a new machine to an existing ArcGIS Server site. This can be done temporarily to migrate to new machines, or more permanently to increase the resources and processing power of your server site". Hopefully this helps. Joe

Hello Will Atkin, I did some quick research into this error message and I see a bug (BUG-000115674) that's logged regarding this behavior. The bug is tagged as In Product Plan, so there will be a fix pushed out at some point however I am not sure when that date might be. Apparently, map documents will fail to load and they will return the received error if a layer within the document references a feature service that has been overwritten. Can you confirm whether or not the .mxd that throws this error message contains any kind of Feature Service coming from ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Server? I would recommend that you reach out to Esri Support Services to have this message investigated. If it is deemed that you're encountering the bug I am looking at, Support may be able to offer you a workaround. Best, Joe

Sam Berg, This documentation might be what you're interested in: Set advanced portal options—Portal for ArcGIS (10.7 and 10.7.1) | ArcGIS Enterprise. I would take a look at the footerLinks section in particular, some examples are given. The config.js file that you can alter is located at: C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Portal\customizations\<portal_version>\webapps\arcgis#home\js\arcgisonline. Prior to making any changes to this file, I would recommend making a backup of the existing config.js. Best of luck! Joe

Jacob, Thank you for providing that Drive link -- I was able to download the shapefile and upload the .zip to ArcGIS Online. I did this in two different ways, below is the result: First, I uploaded the .zip to my ArcGIS Online Content and published it as a Hosted layer. I didn't have any issue with the display of the shapefile however I know you were interested in avoiding hosting. Second, I opened the ArcGIS Online Map Viewer > Add > Add Layer from File > browsed to downloaded .zip file. I made sure to select the option "Keep original features" instead of "Generalize features for web display" and then I imported the feature. I would suggest to try and view this in a different browser? Perhaps try clearing your current browser cache to see if functionality differs? Joe

I'm glad you were able to get this resolved via hosting! In regards to your question, I'm not quite sure why the shapefile itself isn't rendering correctly in ArcGIS Online. Are you able to share the shapefile with me so I can run some tests? jcatanzarita@esri.com Joe

In addition to the information provided above, when trying to use Single Use Licensing with ArcGIS Pro, I've seen that you need to install the ArcGIS Pro License Service .msi in addition to the software. Here is the location of the ProLS.msi that might need to be installed as well: C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Pro\Resources\ArcGIS Pro Licensing Service\ProLS.msi. Cheers, Joe

Jacob, I'm not quite sure why some of the vertices are dropping off when uploading a .zip file to ArcGIS Online. With that being said, I'm interested to see if the same behavior exists when publishing the content from ArcMap/ArcGIS Pro to ArcGIS Online. Are you able to publish content from a desktop client to ArcGIS Online? If you are able to publish, I'd recommend creating a test file geodatabase and import your shapefile into the file geodatabase as a feature class. After that, attempt to publish the newly created feature class to ArcGIS Online. Cheers, Joe
