Melissa Grove, Hello and thank you for reaching out! My name is Joe and I work in Esri Support, apologies regarding the lack of response. I just stumbled across this post this morning and I am indeed able to reproduce this behavior using ArcGIS Pro 2.3.2 (the most recent release). You say that this workflow had no issues in the past, do you know what version this worked for you? Feel free to reach out with any additional information! If you'd like, you can also message me directly and we can chat about getting this bug logged for you. Talk to you soon, Joe

Hi Naomi Ang, Egge-Jan asked some good questions! The above information would certainly be good to know. Are you able to post the link to the BaseMap OS Mastermap 'Carto'? I'm interested in checking out the service that you're currently using. I did a quick search on ArcGIS Online and found this link: https://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=805be06c55304daabdd75353e7092a4f. While it's the same title of the service you're referencing, I'm not sure if it's the same one you're using. For your information, I was able to add the above link successfully to a map. Perhaps if this link is the same as the one you're using, you can utilize this for the time being. Thanks, Joe

Raynald GARNIER, We currently have a bug logged within Esri Support regarding this behavior, so we're aware of the issue and have it documented. Ultimately, we're most likely going to be waiting on Google to fix the issue, unless we release a patch. All we can do for the time being is to utilize the workarounds. My apologies for any inconvenience this may cause! Joe

Hugh Graham, Good afternoon! My name is Joe and I work in Esri Support Services. I ran through some of the cases we have logged internally on this topic and there seems to be a few different things you can try to resolve this issue! Before I list off some of these troubleshooting steps, my one question for you is what type of licensing are you using for ArcGIS Pro? Named User, Single Use or Concurrent Use? Below are some troubleshooting steps you can try: If using Named User licensing, you can try re-assigning your username an ArcGIS Pro license in ArcGIS Pro or Portal for ArcGIS (whichever platform you use for licensing). Revoke the current license, and save the changes. After the save, go back in and reassign yourself a license. Do you still encounter this error when launching ArcGIS Pro? Perhaps you might try checking the time and date settings on your machine? Confirm that the settings are correct and the time is correct. I know I've run into issues with licensing depending on if daylight savings are enabled on the machine. Lastly would be a clean uninstall/reinstall of ArcGIS Pro. I know you'd want to avoid this step, which is why it's last. Here is a link to the Microsoft uninstaller (which will clear out any leftover files which would be causing this issue):https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17588/windows-fix-problems-that-block-programs-being-installed-or-removed Feel free to reach out if you have any other questions or concerns for me. Cheers, Joe

Hello Scott Louque, Enabling attachments is something that you can do on each layer within a Hosted Feature Service. If you go to your Content in ArcGIS Online and select your service of interest, within the "Overview" section, you should see a "Layers" section. Here, you should see an option to "Enable Attachments". Attached to this response is a screenshot illustrating what I'm talking about. Let me know if you have additional questions! Joe

Haley Marble, Thank you for reaching out! I am starting to think there's an issue with Chrome. Perhaps you could try using Chrome Incognito Mode, Internet Explorer or a different browser to upload your content? Check out this thread: Help adding item (excel) to ArcGIS online. There are some responses from Russell which I've confirmed on my side. I'm currently using Chrome 72.x and am unable to add content to ArcGIS Online manually, however it works fine in Internet Explorer. Please reach out if you have additional questions! Joe

HiKarie Kneller, Would you be able to provide the excel spreadsheet so I can take a look at the data? If you're able to share, but don't want to upload the excel sheet here, my email is jcatanzarita@esri.com. What browser were you trying this upload in? Does this behavior continue in a different browser? I was running into some similar behavior earlier today, however it wasn't geocoding related so I'm unsure if these incidents may be related. Regardless, I hope to hear from you soon! Thanks, Joe

Vishnu Nanda, So I was able to download your zip file and play around with it a little bit -- I believe I have figured out what's going on here. The shapefile doesn't have a spatial index, which may have prevented it from being manually uploaded to ArcGIS Online. Here is a quick workflow on how to add a spatial index: Launch ArcMap In the Catalog window, make a folder connection to the folder that houses the shapefile. In the Catalog window, right click the shapefile > Properties. Select the "Indexes" tab. In the second section titled "Spatial Index", press the Add option to create a spatial index. Select Apply and then OK. You've now added a spatial index to the shapefile. To complete the workflow, go to the location of the shapefile in your file explorer. Click the top file, hold shift, and then select the bottom file. We want to send all of these files to a new zip file. Try to upload this zip file to ArcGIS Online. I was still running into issues uploading the file to ArcGIS Online, so I switched from Chrome to Internet Explorer and the upload was successful. Let me know if this works for you! Joe

Hello Vishnu Nanda, Would it be possible for you to provide the .zip file that you're trying to load into ArcGIS Online? I'd like to try and play with it on my end to see if I get the same behavior. If you are able to provide the shapefile, I can always give you my email address in case you don't want to upload it here. If you are unable to provide the .zip file, here are some troubleshooting steps I'd recommend: Can you unzip the folder and make a folder connection in ArcMap/ArcGIS Pro? Can you display the shapefile? Perhaps you can try re-exporting the shapefile to a different folder and zipping that one. Instead of using the manual upload process, are you able to publish from ArcMap/ArcGIS Pro to ArcGIS Online? Maybe try using a different browser when trying to upload. Do you get the same behavior? Since you've been able to do this before, and it's a supported workflow, my suspicion is that there might be a file missing in the .zip file which is preventing you from adding it to ArcGIS Online. I look forward to your response! Joe

Hello Andrea, I hope this finds you well! Unfortunately, there isn't a way to get rid of one or more layers within a Hosted Feature Service without deleting and republishing the service OR using ArcGIS Online Assistant (ArcGIS Online Assistant). If you wish to use ArcGIS Online Assistant, I would recommend making a copy of the service before you make any changes. You should proceed with caution using this workflow, as if its not done correctly, problems may occur with the service. Below is the workflow for using ArcGIS Online Assistant: In ArcGIS Online, go to the Item Details of your Hosted Feature Service. Select the particular layer you'd like to remove and it should take you to a URL similar to this: https://services.arcgis.com/Wl7Y1m92PbjtJs5n/arcgis/rest/services/test_remove_layer/FeatureServer/0 The /FeatureServer/0 is important, as you'll need to know this specific number later. Once you know the specific number of the layer within your Hosted Feature Service, we can move over to ArcGIS Online Assistant. Sign in with your ArcGIS Online credentials. At the top, select "I want to..." and then select "View an Item's JSON". On the left-hand side, navigate to your Hosted Feature Service that needs alteration and select it. You'll notice the service JSON populate on the right-hand side. Scroll down to the start of the "Data" section of the JSON. Start to look for "id" : 0, "id" : 1, "id": 2, etc. Look for the id number that corresponds with the number in the URL (from step 1), this is the id we're going to remove. At the top of the Data section, select the "pencil" icon to start editing. Start with the open bracket above "id" : # and highlight all the way down to the close bracket of the section. Proceed to delete this section and make sure the JSON brackets are aligned correctly before saving the section. After you've deleted the section, this specific layer will be deleted and you should be good to go. I know it's a long one, but if you wish to take on this specific workflow, I've recorded myself performing the workflow. You can access the video here: https://www.screencast.com/t/QlDosHbdNJ Cheers, Joe

Hi Jonah Kirchmann, I've got a few questions/comments for you: Is there any way you'd be able to share the application? If so, you can paste the application link in a response below. You'd have to make sure the underlying layers, Web Map and application are all shared publicly to do so. If you're unable to share your data with everyone, that's completely understandable! Is this the only application that behaves this way? Or are there other applications that exhibit the same behavior? If this is the only application that's causing issues, I'd be interested to see how the application performs in a different browser. Perhaps you could try loading it in Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or Internet Explorer to see its performance. Also, something that you could try in your current browser is to clear your cache. Sometimes I've seen strange behavior and a cleared cache clears up any hiccups! I look forward to your response. Cheers, Joe

Das, To piggyback off of the above comment, there's also an option in ArcGIS Online Item Details called "Delete Protection". If you enable this setting on a service, the service won't accidentally be deleted. Even if you try to delete an item that has Delete Protection enabled, the delete will process, however the item will still remain in your content. Here is an article outlining this: Protecting your ArcGIS Online items. Best of luck, Joe

HelloDuncan, I ran a quick test and the here's why you can't add people outside of your organization to this specific Group. During the Group creation process, there's a specific question "What items in the group can its members update?". If you wish to add people outside of your organization, you must select the option "Only their own items". The other option is "All items (group membership is limited to the organization)". If you select this option, adding people outside of your organization will be grayed out. Attached is a screenshot illustrating what I'm talking about. Let me know if you have any additional questions! Cheers, Joe

Jay, Thank you for the clarification! I downloaded and deployed the solution yesterday, but realized I didn't have the necessary data to publish up to ArcGIS Online. There is a sample application (http://statelocaltryit.maps.arcgis.com/apps/InformationLookup/index.html?appid=90bc8dc5d2614f3398f06a800890d84c) linked to the Solution Web Page. If you click on a boundary, it will list all of the information on the right-hand side similar to what you have, however in the order you wish to see. There must be a setting, or a way you can manually rearrange the text-box to display the order you'd like within the application itself. Joe
